I loved this so much!! I’m pretty fast at reading his books, and I was wondering if it would be the same for this new series - and it was! The only thing Richard can’t so is disappoint! Cannot wait for more of his books, and the continuation of this specific series.

Given that I've just finished reading and enjoying Osman's Thursday Murder Club series so far, it's weird that this felt so different. 

Got about half way through and I just didn't really care about the rest of it, so stopped reading.

Osman consistently delivers funny, reliable, clever, and emotional books. I wasn't sure this was gonna be for me as I definitely preferred the premise of the TMC books however, as usual, this charmed me and kept me excited to read it the whole way through. While I wasn't as connected to the characters as in TMC, I really enjoyed this book, and was once again surprised by the twist. A thoroughly good read.

richard osman has become one of my favorite authors this year. his writing style is so good, and i love every single character he creates. excited to see more of this trio. he writes cozy mystery so well. 

also really random but something i appreciate. ive noticed since getting back into reading a lot of people are super vague about the era of time a book is taking place in. like instead of being like we went to n1 LA taylor swift eras tour, itll be like we went to a very popular blonde haired pop star’s show. and like that could be anyone or any timeline bec their have been so many popular blonde haired pop stars. which is fine and i get why they do it. but was refreshing for osman to make references to like the real world of 2024. which like again is dumb but it was nice in this story lol.

This is a great story, filled with Osman's quirky, endearing characters; It was very enjoyable.
