Walking on Water

The story itself is, at most 3 stars, but I docked it for two uses, by a character who should know better, of "the wife" referring to his own wife. During the first part of the book Alan stays in California while his father is in the hospital. A few weeks after his father dies dies, Alan resumes his walk afterward; all he has left is to walk the state of Florida. There are no notable new characters or friendships made in this book. I quite enjoyed The Mistletoe Promise which I rated highly and also liked the first two books in this series at 3.5 stars, but I realize that Evans isn't always equally good with his books.
