I loved the Love Phones and the escape plans. Those little things, little running jokes, just added such a realness, a down-to-earthness to Sydrian’s relationship that Romitri never had. Not that I’m saying Sydrian isn’t as epic as Romitri, because I think its actually WAY more epic. Something that did bother me at first was Adrian's POV. It felt really abrupt to add in a second POV in what is essentially the 10th book in the series, but I really got into it. It did help that Adrian and Sydney were not always attached at the hip (In different places, doing different things) and there wasn't too much overlap of events either, except when necessary. Also, it helped that there was a differentiation of voice between the two POV's. (To see a dual POV book fail in all above respects, I direct to Allegiant) Overall, I think this book was pretty well done and pushed the story forward drastically.

Duele. Duele mucho

SO disappointed with this book. there was just too much sydrian. don't get me wrong i LOVE sydrian i just feel like the book had too much of them that the plot just vanished into thin air. im so sad because the first three books were REALLY GOOD and this one was just ugh -.- i would've given this 1/5 stars if it wasn't for the other half (and by other half i actually mean the last 20%) of this book so THANK GOD for that. i'm still gonna read the fifth book, i really hope that one's better.

Can't wait for Silver Shadows. The Fiery Heart was perfectly balanced with romance and action, even if romance led to action in the end. When I end books I liked, talking right after that is pretty hard. I'll just say that I'm a crybaby right now

giving this book five stars for this line: “YOU SURE ABOUT THAT DAD BC HES DONE EVERYTHING TO ME” - sydney 397:2

GAH! Reading this so fast probably wasn't a good idea. What am I gonna do now? *sobs* I knew it was going to end that way (I mean who didn't?) BUT STILL. IT HURTS. But ahhhh, the book was so perfect and was far better than I was expecting as usual and idk. Sydrian was perfect, they are seriously the best relationship with the best development I have ever seen in a YA series. They are just so freaking cute and adsjahskjgahdsa. And god, words can't explain how much I love the rest of the gang and how they have form this little, kind of incestuous family. Spoilery things: (view spoiler)[ - The scene when Sydney is crying and Adrian thinks she's going to break up with him and just everything about the scene... THAT.WAS.SO.HEARTBREAKING. It killed me. - I loved how Sydney was acting all naughty and reading How to sex books. That was hilarious, and so Sydney. - The whole thing that they gave each other strength and that they were equals in the relationship was absolutely perfect and I just love their relationship so much. - Neil ended up not being as annoying and Zoe was a total bitch and I hope she burns in hell. - I hate the alquemists. - QUEEN OF EVERYTHING SYDNEY SAGE. Waiting for the next book is gonna be torture. (hide spoiler)]

4.5 stars sydney and adrian really hugged me so tightly. they are everything and more. my best friends. AND ARE YOU KIDDING ME THAT ENDING OHMYGOD “the center will hold.”

I need more!

This was different from all of the other books! We have 2 P.O.V's in this, which was cool because we finally get to read about Adrian's thought process. So, Zoe is annoying. Simple as that, and this is me being nice. I really hate her, I can't put it straight enough! She bugged me so much, she always seemed to be on her sister's side yet at the first chance, she rats her out to her father and guess what? Sydney is in trouble now and all I want to do is slice Zoe's throat. I feel like Sydney and Adrian were a little dull in this book, meaning that they just weren't themselves. They were careless and got too comfortable. Sydney wasn't smart enough to realize when something was wrong and we didn't see the normal, very analytic thinking person I really liked from the first book and Vampire Academy. Adrian was almost exactly like that. It felt like he, too, wasn't himself because he was way too overly in love with Sydney and his mistakes, along with hers, threaten now all of their lives and not to mention the only reason they're there, Jill. It was just so frustrating how stupid they could be and just not think with their heads in this book! I felt like screaming at them a lot of the times just to talk some sense into their brains and shout out the obvious. I really liked how we got to go to the Royal Court, and we see everyone! That was probably my favourite scene in the whole book. There was so much drama that happened it was just so juicy! We get so many fights and a huge battle which was total Vampire Academy like. I loved it! It was so cute to see how Sydney and Adrian were trying to hide their relationship from their friends because we all saw how that worked out for Rose and Dimitri. I really did like this book, but it was not my favourite. I didn't like the ending, something bad happens and I totally know I'm going to get so frustrated in next book. So, all in all, it was a good instalment in the series and while I am frustrated and mad how the series turned, I am excited to see how Adrian and the gang can save Sydney from this drama. THAT ENDING HURT! WHAT AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER Oh my God. I'm speechless. This series has just took a huge turn and it was so heartbreaking!! BUT IT WAS SO GOOD AT THE SAME TIME! I loved this world & this book was so great as usual. I couldn't put it down & there were lots of nights throughout this series that I gave up sleep just to keep reading and see what happens. This one was definitely more serious than the other ones but that's because things are getting much more seriousness so much more real especially between Sydney & Adrian. OTP! I loved Adrian from the beginning and I loved finally having his POV!! After Vampire Academy we have an idea of how crazy spirits effects can be from Rose and Lissa but actually seeing it first hand from Adrian was just so interesting and heart wrenching to get inside his head and see what he has to go through with battling Spirit...and his love for Sydney was just breathtaking. They're so so in love and it has been so wonderful to watch that's why that ending hurt so much! It's just not fair!!! Ahhhh the relationship was so prefect and the obstacles they had to go through in this book to be together just so sweet but sad at the same time. The Sydrian feels were all over the place in this book & they're growth from Bloodlines to here so fantastic. Oh & I loved Eddie, Jill, Angeline, and Trey! So much love for this world even though I feel as if I've just run an emotional marathon. It was so worth it. Now I'm off to go cry myself through Silver Shadows... "I brought my face a mere whisper from hers. "I love you so much." She blinked in that way that id come to recognize, when she was afraid she might cry. "I love you too. Hey." She slid one of her hands up and rested it on my cheek. "Don't look like that. Everything's going to be okay. The center will hold." "How do you know?" "Because we are the center."" *gently rocks back and forth crying* THE CENTER WILL HOLD centrum permanebit *sobs into Silver Shadows*

IM READY FOR THE PAIN. OK.NO. IM NOT.

This whole book was amazing but that ending. OMGGGG. Shit is getting real here everyone... I need the next book nowwww!!! so I felt like this was a in between kind of book, it was focused on moving the story along and focused more on relationship building with tiny bits of drama put in. The very ending however was crazy, and stopped right on a cliff hanger! Noooo. Sydney is a great character, I love thinking back to how she was when she first met Rose in Russia (my favourite VA book!!!) to where she is now, she has had great development. I honestly didn't like her much to start with, she was a little annoyed but that's the point! Her views and beliefs are meant to be annoying and you want her to challenge them. Over all another great read!! Check wait to read the next one ❤️❤️

The Fiery Heart is such an amazing novel. Two months till Silver Shadows and I can't wait! so many feels!!! <3

WHY DO I TORTURE MYSELF BUT READING SERIES THAT ARE STILL IN PROCESS!!!! I don't want to wait for the next one!!! So Adrian and Sydney are together, happily. I love them so much. But things are hard. But they seem to be getting careless. As I was reading I was waiting for the ball to drop and it did. I'm hurting for my babies!!! The next book seriously can't come out soon enough!

That was amazing! Need the next book!

i started bloodlines back in november 2014 but stopped a few chapters into this for some reason. i picked it up again 3 years later and i loved it. i loved seeing sydney and adrian again, and although i was a little confused since i forgot some of the events, they gladly helped me out by giving us a brief run down through out the book. the last few chapters had me so on edge, i expected it to happen but i was still shocked. definitely can’t wait for the next book!

I'm pretty crazed about the cliff-hanger...probably gonna tear out half my hair from worry by the time the next installment of the series comes along!

This book had everything I love about Mead's writing: romance, mystery, epic battles, epic spats, thought provoking main characters, and incredibly dubious villains. Sydney: I love Sydney. Do I love her more than Rose? Not sure. Rose had quite a lot of my personality while Sydney is pretty much the opposite. Yet I love her still. She's intelligent but doesn't just rely on her wits to get her out of a pickle (I almost said jam, and then I wondered why we equate getting out of a problem to food . . .). She has taught herself other ways to save her own butt, and I completely appreciate that about her. The plot was great this time around. It had more short kind of plots that all added to the huge 6 book plot but it worked. I feel like this made it less predictable and more interesting to actually read. I loved getting to see the Maroi court again, a change of scenery is always good! Adrian: This man. He is the unicorn. Ladies, please do not expect to take a partying, womanizing, play boy and magic him into Adrian Ivashkov, lover of art, poetry, and just one woman. It won't happen. That being said, I love his character development, unrealistic as it may be, because it does show how people DO genuinely have two sides to them. One that everyone sees, and one that those closest to them see. There are a lot of good qualities about Adrian, but I love that he does showcase a bit of how bi-polar disorder can affect people. Even though his is due to magic, the results are the same. There were great parts with all (or most?) of our favorites from VA: Rose, Dimitri, Lissa, CHRISTIAN, Abe, Sonya, etc. Great things happen when these people get together and this book was no different. The way they're discovering more secrets behind spirit and what it can do is all very mysterious and intriguing. I have my ideas, but usually Mead is able to evade where I think the story is going to go and she shows me something even more amazing. Jill & Eddie: Love them. I've always loved both of these characters, they were some of my favorite minor characters from VA and I still cherish every bit of page time they get and boy do they get some this time around! They're actually part of the schemes, it's not just Sage and Ivashkov running around in the Shaddows, other people are involved. Zoe & Angeline: I could live without them. They are both TROUBLE. They make me crazy that they can't see what's going on around them and how people are treating them. Ick. Trey & Neil: I like both of these guys but they're just kind of, there, sometimes. I'll admit whenever I picture Neil I picture Lionel, the kid security guard from The Princess Diaries 2. Go ahead, think about it. You see it too. I like where this one ended. I mean, the cliffhanger is EPIC. But it's great for story progression. It's book 4, you know the bad stuff has to happen at some point. Those Alchemists, I can't handle them. One of my least favorite things about how VA ended was nothing in the world was really solved and I finally feel like with this one, Sydney, Adrian, and crew are finally starting to put things in order to make their world a little more tolerant.

Fiery heart: Spolier Review I really loved this book! It was interesting again to see how much Sydney has grown in this novel and how complex their relationship has become. I also loved seeing how all the side characters were developed in this book. It was a welcome surprise to finally read adrian POV in contrast to Sydney and how they both view the same experiences. The presence of Sydney sister throw the book into a loop and effected the little group in many ways. I was so outrage by the hate that it made me so annoyed but i guess that was kind of the point of the book. I did not see the ending the coming and it was so scary and such a sad ending because Sydney sister utterly betrayed her and i had not idea what the next book was going to be. I really loved the story that was told in the book and was glad i did not have to wait to read silver shadows! “I clung to that spark of hope, nurturing it into a small flame that chased some of the shadows in my heart away.” *breathes heavily* I don’t know if I should hug this book tightly or just throw it furiously against the wall. Seriously, Richelle Mead, why are you the female version of GRRM? Do you like to torture us?! Okay, *breathe* firstly I adored this book. It was simply beautiful and absolutely perfect. Sydrian are definitely the OTP of my OTP’s. Honestly, they are more than cute and sigh, can I just have this kind of relationship? Sydney, like I said once before, I never expected to love her as much as I do now, but with the Bloodlines series, she became definitely one of my favorite heroines ever. She is strong, not in the bad ass way though(okay she can be bad ass as well), but in the smart way where she is still independent and have her own head without being influenced by some guy. It was also pretty understandable that she wasn’t as careful as she used to be. Humans are intended to make mistakes while they’re in love. Love makes someone blind, right? Aw. I love her. Seriously, I do. And Adrian….This guy always manages to melt my heart. He isn’t perfect, he may be extremely good looking but he has his flaws. It was interesting to see how ‘broken’ he actually is and how Sydney saved him. His chapters were definitely the highlight of this book. His thoughts, his love for Sydney, made me loving him even more, if that’s possible of course. This book screamed Sydrian. It was full of wonderful and loving moments between them. Especially, (view spoiler)[ the car sex, come on this was seriously hot guys. (hide spoiler)] Adrian is finally loved by someone, even though their relationship is inappropriate in the Moroi world, it’s the most real and pure thing that ever existed. They love each other more than anything, so why can’t they just be happy? Also, the other characters were as awesome as always. Jill, Eddie, Trey and Angeline…I simply love these guys. And I basically screamed when Lissa, Rose, Christian and the others made their appearance. I mean, this specific scene between Adrian and Christian was way too hilarious. The only character I couldn’t stand was Zoe. She was annoying as expected even though in some moments I thought she could be like Sydney, but no…Let me punch this girl. You simply don’t do such things to your sister. The ending…. It was the most hurtful thing ever but also the only critic I have, well it’s not a negative point, it’s just that I expected this to happen. It was basically my theory. It’s sad that it was less unpredictable than in the other books, but this doesn’t mean that it didn’t affect me. Why Richelle, why?

MY ANXIETY CAN'T HANDLE THIS I HATE THE ALCHEMISTS THIS IS FOR SYDNEYS DAD YOU BIG FAT WHITE NASTY SMELLING FAT B*TCH WHY YOU BE SUCH A TERRIBLE AND ABUSING DAD WITH YOUR TRIFFLIN DIRTY WHITE RACIST ASS YOU BIG FAT B*TCH OOMPA LOOMPA BODY A*S B*TCH IM COMING UP THERE AND IM GONNA BE@T THE FVCK OUT OF YOU B*TCH

While I'm liking this series, it really didn't speed up until the last quarter for me and I found myself a bit bored at times.
