Loved this! I have literally been in love with Peter Pan since I was a toddler and this was a refreshing my dive back into the world of Neverland! It was fast paced, with chapters on the shorter side in a format similar to the Maximum Ride books. Creative and thoughtful backstory about how Peter Pan became Peter Pan, Lost Boys and Captain Hook and all. I don't know if I'll read the other books in this series, I'll probably give them a try, but I feel that this first book came to a satisfying conclusion of its own. We'll see!

I've found a new favorite. Of course, it's hard to not like a book narrated by Jim Dale. He is simply magnificent.

This book was simply fascinating. I love this sort of prequel series and all the allusions the authors made to the traditional Peter Pan story and other historical/mythological events. I find it fascinating that every well known artist/politician/etc was able to create/perform such marvelous works due to whatever magical item/idea lies at the heart of books like this. (Rick Riordan's books come to mind here, obviously.)

Barry and Pearson crafted a magnificent plot of back and forth/will they or won't they escape tension that beautifully came together in the end. I loved all the characters. Well, truthfully, I loved everything about this book. I think a good deal of that comes from Jim Dale's narration. I think he could narrate the phone book and I would declare it the next great American novel. (not quite but almost :D)

I highly recommend this book and the entire series!

What a charming read!

It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to read part of the backstory for Peter Pan.

This book very much reminded me of Harry Potter and the Percy Jackson series. So magical and otherworldly! Love it!
