All the Lies
Reviews

i’m not sure how i feel about this book…

My Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review, please be responsible)
All the Lies is the first book in this duology. I absolutely had a blast with these books but you will need to really be patient with this one here. It was very angsty and not many answers are revealed until the very end. It will be a book that will be very challenging to read, so keep that in mind moving forward on it.
I found the premise of this couple very fascinating and from the beginning, you definitely can sense that there is much more going on with Reina. This is very strong in the amnesia trope, but she is also in a relationship with a man that hates her, who is playing games with her mentally and psychologically and so this won't be for everyone, so please check these triggers if that is going to be hard for you to read. I found it fascinating though. I had an assumption on the heroine that for the most part was correct, but not everyone will make that assumption. But Rina Kent leaves enough breadcrumbs to build up the story so beautifully.
I think though I just wasn't in the right mindset for how the hero treats the heroine at times. So definitely make sure you are in a angsty bully mood for this one. But overall I found it fascinating and it definitely kept me up late.

what a rollercoaster ride My head hurts after reading this duet! I can only say is WHAT A PSYCHOTIC SISTER!!! May you rest in whatever god damn hell you are in!

i feel like im in a maze This book will literally keep you on your toes! Why do I feel like I know nothing after reading this book? HAHAHA who is telling the truth? Who is lying??? My brain is going overdrive!!!

I STARTED THIS BOOK AT 1AM AND FINISHED IT AT 5. I RARELY DO THAT. EVER. but seriously this book was sooo good i still have so many questions and i love that i couldn’t trust anyone😝 i’ve learnt my lesson with rina kent. rn im thinking jason is cloud003

** spoiler alert ** SHOCKED. prom queen is so cute! hunter is so fine! summary: reina has a twin in the bratva. they switched lives when 13. reina was poor with her mother before the switch. asher was reina‘s fiancé. they got engaged when 15. reina was a bitch back then and they had a pretty bad relationship. reina was a cold bully at school (always made „cruel“ bets). one day she met up with her sister at a cottage and the cottage got burnt up, she got hit on the head and her sis got kidnapped. she lost her memory and asher was the one who found her. after her memory loss she became a completely new person, her true self. ash still didn’t trust her but after a while, she started warming up to him and they built a really strong bond. so strong that when ash messaged her to meet up at a hotel, she immediately agreed. she gets kidnapped by the russian mafia (dude named ivan). she gets tortured in a basement but ria, kyle and ash save her right before death. she gets sent to a hospital and heals! yay! also, asher is aiden‘s best friend!

rereading the duet and just remembered how good this book is. the suspense, the confusion, the plot, the characters. still hate reina's "dude" phase. i wish i can read this book again for the first time. to experience the confusion of the splitting memories, the mystery character, and the wondering of it all. the plot is beautifully, gradually peeled. makes the reader can't take the book off of our hands. i'm just as hooked as the first reader.

En este libro la cosa va a más por lo que me gustó incluso más que el primero. Los personajes muy intensos y adictivos. La historia intrigante y oscura. Me gustó mucho el final.

3.7 intrigante, adictivo y bastante entretenido.

Since its release, I have been seeing “All The Lies” constantly throughout my feed and I’ve finally caved in to see what the hype was all about. Boy I regret not picking this up sooner because after reading this amnesia filled enemies to lovers (I’m a sucker for this trope sue me) romance novel, Rina Kent has now become an instant read author for me. “All The Lies” had everything I was looking for: dark secrets, mystery, romance, drama, and a hot brooding lead that made you question, is he really the villain in this story? Or is the heroine who has no recollection of anything not really who she says she is? Obviously I don’t want to give too much away but it was an impressive read for me from start to end, and despite not being a huge fan (or more like not finding any decent bully romance books) I was impressed by the author's capability in engrossing me in this suspenseful read and I’m looking forward in seeing what else she has in store for us.

My gut feeling said to give this book at least 4* but thinking about it a bit longer.. eh.. I've read a lot of books with annoying FMC and it feels a little bit refreshing to have one trying to be better? But at the same time some of her decisions are just so.. eh... I read this book too fast, enjoyed it and it made me download part 2 instantly. BUT.. I have a bad aftertaste for some reason. Its not Ashers behaviour, its Rainas.. I can't get behind the whole "Its not my life, I stole it, I can't let anyone near me". But its totally okay to ruin your sisters life? You even think its possible you switch back but she would switch to a freaking mess of a life. Where is the logic in that? And if someone asks you to not call them by a nickname, just dont? Why is it cute if the FMC is doing it but absuive if a male MC would do it? I like the overall idea of the plot but just the fact that her actions just don't make any sense at all.

Have you ever reached a plot point where you have to put down the book, open goodreads and write a review? I am okay with all over the top plot twists but this one part ruined my morning. Raina is trying to care about people around her but when Izzy comes along, crying, begging her to watch a video and not hurt her son? What does she do? FORGETS TO WATCH THE VIDEO. Excuse me? And its not even like something horrible happened in the mean time. And no reason given for her forgetting it. I am rarely enraged by one single plot point like this.

this was uh something else for sure. what i liked: it was addictive enough to make me wanna reach the end and read the sequel to know what the actual fuck is going on in this duet because hell if i know! what i didn't like: • the hero being physically abusive towards the h. yeah it's a bully romance yeah it's a 'dark romance' and the author puts an author's note at the beginning saying that if you're not comfortable with dark content then don't read it. i love dark romance, and i don't give a flying fuck if the charcters do awful things, my problem is when the hero gets physically abusive WITH THE HEROINE, as in he legit almost chokes the heroine TO DEATH 4 times and also grips her hard enough to cause her pain on the bruises she already has on her legs after she's in an accident. of course he has his reason for why he hates her so much to want to kill her and we get to know that in the end. does that make it okay? nope. and i'm not gonna condone it nor be here for it. • the OBVIOUSNESS of who the person taunting her was. sigh for real? were we supposed to not know who it was when there's only ONE person who obviously hates her enough to do that to her in the entire book?? • the book is supposed to be set in college but the level of immaturity and the way certain scenes are written tell me this was initially intended to be set in high school. what person on earth knows everyone in college??? i didn't even know half of the people that went to the same classes as i did when i was in college let alone everyone that attended college and yet everyone here knows who reina is and she's constantly being hugged and greeted by random people as if she were in high school. • the stupidity of some scenes. for example, she falls asleep on the rooftop of her college and wakes up hours later tied up with her mouth bound and dangling from the roof edge. lmao what the actual fuck??? who doesn't wake up when they're being dragged towards the edge of a roof or when they are being tied up? makes no sense at all. in another scene she's locked in a classroom, the lights go out and she has a meltdown where she cannot pick up her phone from THE DAMN FLOOR!!! she falls to the floor and starts crying instead of just reaching towards her phone, sis it's not that damn hard, please use the one braincell that you have. i'm gonna read the sequel because i'm already invested in the story and want to know how it unravels, but yeah this wasn't good.
