SUCH AN AMAZING BOOK!!!! OBSESSED WITH RINA KENT!!!!!

psychotic

Man was psychotic what what can I say it was a pretty good books⛓️ I was questioning ALOT about Killian because of his killing nature god but if it was real I would jump off the cliff from the first chapter. Anyways gotta get back to rest of the series for Bran and Niko✌🏻💕

I read this since it was the book choice in the book club I joined in the Fable app, and I almost did not finish it. The male lead character, a “wannabe” psycho, and an alpha male with daddy issues raped a suicidal female lead with an inferior complex. The main characters appear to have a dull or “narrow” problem, the only reason behind the story. It was okay for me to have a story that reflects a real-life young adult problem, but it turns out to be forced just for the sake of having this story. However, I appreciate the plot twist, which is just 5% of the book, since the rest was just the main characters saying, thinking, and doing the F-word. The writing reads like Wattpad vibes from my younger years, and the conversation in the story feels too childish despite being set in a college timeline where the characters are supposedly young adults. The story was overwhelmed with side characters that were so unnecessary in this series that it reads like this story is to introduce and have a glimpse of every character for the entire series. Despite each book being standalone, I probably will not continue reading the whole series. I cannot recommend this to those readers whose cup of tea is mature dark romances, but to those who are into “cute” dark fantasies, this one is probably for you.

Read this before the whole series but I can’t wait to read the rest of the series <3

i am starting to feel like i'm being sucked in into the rina kent word and i am not sorry for that even tho i'm not reading in order BUT i don't if i'm afraid of killian or if i found him hot, definitely more the 2nd option then the first but this was so good i was just wanting read more non stop - "As she watches the fireflies, I watch her. I'm captured in a chokehold by the way her shoulders relax and her lips fall open. And the way her eyes reflect the yellow lights like a mirror. They're shining, brighter, faster, and I don't think about it as I pull out my phone and take a picture. Commemorating the moment feels like a need instead of a mere action. It's not impulse either; it's much fucking worse." - "So that's what you are now, my victim? I like that. And no, this is where I come to when I want to be alone, so you're the first." "I'm a lot of firsts." "I'm surprised by that, too." - "How did the number decrease?" "With your presence." "W-what?" "You make the demons go away, even temporarily." "How?" "Beats me. Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it. I like how quiet it is up here." - "She spins around and faces me. Her cheeks are red and her honey-colored hair flies in the wind. Now, I don't know what angels look like and probably never will-thank fuck I have a designated place in hell but she's the closest thing to an angel I've ever seen. My own angel." - "People say their life flashes before their eyes in the last moments, but that's not what happens. My life isn't what I see. It's Glyndon smiling. I always liked her sweet little smile, probably because it was rarely ever directed at me. She's smiling at me now, calling my name, but I can't hear her." - "You chose me." "What?" "Back there, you chose me in front of your brother. Brothers, plural. And that fucker Eli." "I'll make sure you always choose me as much as I choose you." - "(...) You're the one who keeps my demons at bay, the one who makes me look forward to new days. You're the only red in my black-and-white world. You're my fucking purpose, but he hurt you. He put his hands on what belongs to me. On my girl." "Listen to me and listen to me well, Glyndon. I spent my whole life repressing my true nature, but I'd willingly embrace my demons for you. I'd turn into the devil, a monster, and whatever weapon I have to be if it means I can protect you." - "Am I special?" "If you weren't, would I waste my time trying to see things from your perspective? I'm not an altruistic man, never was and never will be, but you're part of me now, so I'll get used to thinking the way you do." - "Understand this, Glyndon, there's nothing noble or tender about what I feel for you. It's a violent volcano of obsession, possession, and deranged lust. If you want love, then I do love you, but it's the unorthodox version of love. I love you enough to let you within my walls. I love you enough to let you talk to my demons. I love you enough to allow you to have a hold over me when I've never allowed anyone to have the power to destroy me from the inside out "

The more I think about this book… I dislike it abit more… also the audiobook kinda lowered the score 0.0

what a way to start this series “Never say never, baby!” It feels like full circle to see everyone back at it again! All the new characters! All the craziness and psychotics! Wohooo! What a ride! PS im still laughing over levi’s dramatics over “losing” his daughter to kill hahdjdjdjdjf

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This was my first time reading a Rina Kent book and, wow, what a rollercoaster. From the beginning, to the end of this book, it kept me on my toes. I’ve never read a book so slow on purpose in my life, but there's a first time for everything, right? This book had me questioning everything and everyone. But that’s why this book was so great. I had no clue what was going to happen and I just enjoyed the ride. Killian and Glyndon are such a different couple than others I’ve read in the past. The chemistry, obsession, and darkness between them never let me lose interest. If anything I was even more intrigued by their dynamic. The constant push and pull between them is addictive. There’s nothing like being obsessed with a literal psychopath in a book. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the rest of this series. I think this was a great introduction into this new/next generation series. Though I didn't read the first generation couples, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I am, however, going to go back and read all of Rina’s backlist! Also, please be mindful of the trigger warnings for this book, read them and make sure they’re something you’d be okay with reading. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

idc how dark the romance is, nothing excuses sexual assault.

This is a dark romance book ladies, u can't just say it's too much that's exactly what dark romance is all about.
Tip: if you're going to read dark romance you better leave your feminism at the front door, 'cause once you're in it's all about toxic masculinity.

I don’t even know what the fuck that was.

loved the psycho, obsessiveness

Me gustó bastante, lo devoré rápido, es de fácil lectura y muy adictivo, como todo lo de esta autora jejjeje.

Firstly I wanna say check for TW !! Also I know most of y'all are gonna be mad for certain topics and whatever but a dark romance isn't dark without those tropes even if they are brutal !! It was nicely done, I flew through it and all but it wasn't a 5 star for me only because there are way better books of this type and a lot of them by rina kent herself !! One thing I wanna say is that Rina Kent's books are the best to get you out of the reading slump!! And I kinda guessed the plot twist ( about Devlin ) way sooner like in the 4th chapter only that was kind of a disappointment but overall I liked it, don't trust my rating I give it very carefully I literally only have 3 or 4 books that are 5 star reads for me !! Anyways I wanna read this whole series soon !!
My fav book boyfriend - ❌

I realized that I had forgotten to write a review for this one and felt like I definitely should get some thoughts in even if its not a long in depth review. I will say that this book was PURE MAGIC for me. I will be honest in that I have been struggling with Rina Kent of late. I have been wanting to love her stuff but just haven't gotten around to trying more. Well I had been seeing readers rave about "God of Malice" on Bookstagram, and I just decided to try her again and what do you know, this book was EVERYTHING I needed and more. I have never felt so touched by such an insane dark romance, it did remind me in some ways of"Untouchable" by Sam Mariano. God of Malice is a story that starts off with a non consent/dubious consent type of scene but somehow it works for me, don't ask me how but it was so crazy but I was in the mood for something so out of the world and bananas. I honestly adored seeing the way that this author cultivated this story. This features a psychological crazy hero haha so know what you are getting into. The heroine is just right for him, she knows exactly how to keep him in line. The way that she is able to connect with him and the bond that they are able to form was so wonderful. I enjoyed all the friendships that are built within this one, and I can't wait for the other books in the series. I hope time goes by fast so they get released quickly. Overall I found God of Malice to be a superb thrilling romance that curled my toes and I couldn't seem to get enough of.

3.8 ⭐️

“I caught the attention of a monster. I didn’t ask for it. Didn’t even see it coming. But the moment I do, it’s too late. Killian Carson is a predator wrapped in sophisticated charm. He’s cold-blooded, manipulative, and savage. The worst part is that no one sees his devil side. I do. And that will cost me everything. I run, but the thing about monsters? They always chase.” I adored this book, the brilliant of Rina Kent’s writing of psychopathy in a love interest is like nothing i’ve read before. The relationship between Killian and Glyn was pure chaos, and the trials and tribulations between the two were fantastic. I struggled so much to put this down, and i do love a good dark romance and morally black male character 😈 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 🔥🔥🔥🔥 / 5

idk wether i’m allowed to like this book or not. it’s definitely such a good villain gets it all story, but with a good ending. also very much fast paced
Highlights

New resolution--always be in a position to feel her pulse, because that beautiful fucker never lies.

I actually don't want her dead and I'm ready to fight my demons so they'll aban- don the urge to see inside her.

"You have a pretty little face that looks erotic when being fucked."

I try not to think about the position I’m in. On the edge, on my knees, about to fall back, with a maniac using my mouth to get off.

“If you want love, then I do love you, but it’s the unorthodox version of love. I love you enough to let you within my walls. I love you enough to let you talk to my demons. I love you enough to allow you to have a hold over me when I’ve never allowed anyone to have the power to destroy me from the inside out”
