I love Landon and I didn’t think I was going to as much considering he’s an unhinged little shit stirrer. But his character development was so subtle and organic that if you blinked, you would probably miss it. Either way, I absolutely loved this book!

God of Ruin is the most latest release of the "Legacy of Gods" series and in this one we have the story between Landon and Mia. And this story was just as sexy and hilarious and crazy as the previous books that we have seen within the series so far. And I have to say that I went into this one pretty blind. I just knew that it was pretty well loved for Rina Kent readers, so I was really hoping that this one worked for me. The pacing was a bit off at times and I had some issues with the plot as a while, but it was still a solid read that kept me entertained.

Mia and Landon are on opposites of a rivalry and Mia is out to get justice for the harm done to her brother by Landon King. She wants to give him a taste of his justice and when she goes undercover and has an entanglement with him and comes out on top, he knows it was her and he will be coming for her. Mia also suffers from a disability as she was kidnapped as a child and ever since hasn't spoken a word. But Mia is strong willed and loves her family with a passion. When Landon discovers who she is, he plans on hunting her down and bringing her to her knees, but it doesn't go quite as planned when he falls hard for Mia and he will have to work hard to bring a truce between their families and prove himself to her...

There are many elements to this book that I truly enjoyed. First off, no one writes the crazy playboys like Rina Kent. There is something about how she writes a anti hero that immediately pulls you into the story. And if you want to try out this author and enjoy a good dark romance, this series is the best to start with. It is connected to other series but I highly recommend this series as I think its some of her best writing that she has ever done. From the beginning you are swept up into the story, the first couple of chapters are very compelling and you will hard put being able to place this book down at first. There is some fantastic chemistry that sets the tone of the story from the beginning. We also see how these two play with each other and get off on their games. Landon and Mia make such a fabulous couple and when they work out all the kinks in their relationship---its 

 good. I absolutely was entertained with their romance. It gets a bit crazy at times because Landon is not normal lol But Rina Kent really writes Landon in such a way that you are intrigued even if you are disturbed by some of the actions that he takes. There is also a mix of angst in the story. The first aspect is in the relationship itself. But then its also the forbidden aspects to the story. We see how Landon and Mia also have to work with the conflicts of her family. And it gets pretty intense at times. There are also surprises we get in the end involving Mia's past kidnapping and the reveals at the end here----I DID NOT see coming. Rina Kent really knows how to shock her audience and deliver a solid read to get behind on.

The pacing was really off in this book. At times I was super engaged, and at other times I just wanted to skim through parts haha It just felt so off at times and the flow could have been written more smoothly.

First Impressions
God of Ruin is the most latest release of the "Legacy of Gods" series and in this one we have the story between Landon and Mia. What I Loved

Steam/Spice Explanations

Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.

This series proves one thing over and over again: Brandon is the best and I love him! (I'm so curious about him and Nikolai)

Landon was a PSYCHO. I thought Killian was scary but Landon was next level. The statue scene in the beginning of the book was so fucking mental. After sweet baby boy cray cray and caveman Jeremy I wasn't prepared for him to be this crazy. He was THE menace to society. Thank God Mia reigned him in.

I really liked the neurodivergent/neurotypical talk in this book. It was kind of sad hearing about his childhood and his revelation he would never fit in but overall I'm glad he had a support system even if it was only Aiden at times.

Even though I didn't really like him in the previous books, I started to really like the completely psychotic and narcissitc side of him. The way he had all three of them - Killian, Nikolai and Jeremy - by the balls when they tried to beat him up was hilarious. And don't get me started on his willingness to loose a hand.

One question remains tho: Why do they always do the arse stuff the first time around the fathers? It's so weird to do it under their roof lol especially since they are all overprotective af

I couldn't believe the things I heard about him being the best bf in the series but after reading it I totally agree. The way he cared for her from the start of their "relationship" was so adorable given that he is the worst narcissist alive haha but he really managed to be perfect

In a way he was less psychotic than any other man by Rina I read about. Always taking her no for an answer if she meant it. He didn't pressure her into 

. It was so wholesome? I swear he got cuter and cuter which says a lot because he started to be adorable 20% in. The garden, the house, even the relationship with his own siblings. It made me so happy to see how deeply he actually cared for those around him. In his own psychotic ways. But still.

He was still a maniac but never with her and he even began being nice to his siblings! I was so happy for Bran that he finally got to see that his twin brother loves him in his own way and not just because he sees him as an extension of himself.

The Epilogue was sappy again but I'm used to it by now. And one thing that threw me a bit was the statues...I really hope the compromising positions he mentioned can only be recognized when you know it because otherwise that would be so uncomfortable. One? Okay. Two? Whatever. But over 30?! Nope💀

I HATED the Maya part in the end tho! It was so unnecessary? There was no reason to ruin her character the way Rina did. Absolutely none. She had Landon as her main support so why wasn't she allowed to have her twin sister as well? Landon didn't even had a problem with that? It annoyed me so much because I actually started to love Maya before Rina assassinated her character. It made zero sense and felt like an idea she had last minute. The worst part is there is no redeeming. They can forgive her of course but this will always leave a stain on her character. A stain she doesn't deserve.

Jokes on her tho because I still love Maya. No way would I ever blame her for something she never wanted. She was a scared 8 year old girl and the longer she waited the harder it became. It literally wouldn't have changed a thing because if Mia could be scared and pressured into silence why wouldn't Maya react the same way? It was Mia's choice to become mute and while she can blame it on her trauma and kidnappers she absolutely cannot blame it on her sister.
