The book starts slow with the plot, like any other rina kent book, and we see cecily has a love for comic boosmks, boy’s love to be precise. Jeremy is the opposite, with sociopathic personality, he and cecily make an unspoken deal that he’ll fulfil her sexual desires, ones that she’s too afraid to speak of. She signs up for a sexual club, which landon — her crush is also a member of, only to find that Jeremy accepted her invitation. Cecily is the mother of the group, one who takes care of the others, who people depend on, but Jeremy soon finds out there’s more to her than she lets on, and forces her to tell him, why she gets lost, or more like frozen, everytime something sexual is mentioned, and she tells him reluctantly that drugging and gagging are her limits. When Jeremy catches her at the initiation, she tells him to fuck her first, before he kills her, so after that they start this game of fucking, but without feelings, because they don’t like each other. Cecily battles with her trauma, and sleep paralysis and also with the primal kink she’s into for which she was shamed by her ex - boyfriend jonah. Jeremy and Landon have beef because Jeremy dislikes him for being cecily’s first crush, and Landon dislikes everyone, because he is landon. 

Landon asks cecily to spy on heathens, and that was one of the reasons why she is at the initiation at the beginning of the book. Jeremy also threatens cecily if she didn’t give into him, he’s tell everyone what she likes in bed. Jeremy and cecily continue to see each other. And then the story overlaps with the second book, where Annika is kidnapped by cray, and Jeremy finds out about it, but he doesn’t punish her for it. Cecily’s was stripped and drugged by her former boyfriend for which Jeremy makes his mission to send him off the earth, which he does eventually, when he ends up in jail, and the other guy, which jonah was with, ends up trying to potentially assault cecy, but Jeremy arrives on time and saves her. Jeremy later finds out that the fire that caused his mansion to light up in flames was done by landon, and cecily had helped him with the necessary info, combined with her love for landon makes Jeremy push her away, even after cecily confesses her feelings for him, he refuses to believe her, and then finds the truth at the hospital after the Zayn encounter, and that’s when cecily tells him everything. She did not want to put Jeremy or his family’s lives at risk, when the mansion was set on fire. Adrian comes to Jeremy’s rescue and they have a good talk about how letting people in does not always mean a threat. Adrian being the best dad ever, he asks Jeremy to not give up on cecily just like he never gave up on lia, his wife. Although Jeremy was angry at his mother for being absent sometimes, because of her own struggles, he forgives her after cecily tells him that if not for the illness, lia would have done everything she could to be present in Jeremy’s life. After that little separation, cecily is lied to by Ilya and tells her jer is dying and she comes running to him, and finds out he’s not. The best bodyguard award goes to Ilya levitsky. And then they have a sweet reunion, and cecily meets Jeremy’s parents, and they also enjoy a happy dinner. Jeremy arranges another hunt just to fulfill cecily’s fantasy and the book ends on a hea. 

What i loved : i loved Jeremy, and his deviant tastes, and violent tendencies. He’s unhinged, but he also is a softie when it comes to his girl, and i also loved that there was no stabbing, shooting, or any other forms of harm involved in jer and cecy’s story. I didn’t want that, and i’m glad that didn’t happen. Jeremy is so soft, because he stalks her, makes sure she is safe, eliminates all the threats, and even saves her from potential sexual assault. This man is my roman empire. Thankyou. </Spoiler>

Favourite parts/ highlights : when Adrian has a talk with Jeremy after the little breakup Jeremy and cecily go through, kim’s welcoming for Jeremy in their home, while Xander is overprotective, and plots his murder in his head for stealing his only daughter.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. It is seriously dark and twisted though so you do need to tread carefully and read trigger warnings before you decide to read it. Dark and twisted, dark and twisted man.

I liked the book way more than I think I would. Jeremy came across as kind of a loser in the previous book tbh I surprised myself when I didn't want him to die in the fire because up to that point I couldn't have cared less for him.

I ended up liking him in his own book. He was much more interesting than Creighton who really was just a sleepy head with mean tendencies. It was so boring.

Speaking of boring, I liked God of Wrath but the last 30% were totally unnecessary. I felt like the conflict happened at the right time but when I saw that I was only 70% in I was shocked. It felt like it was going on for ages after that. The second conflict was so unnecessary as well. I couldn't take it anymore.

The ending was so sweet as well. Too sweet for my liking. The blabbering about him loving her to death had me rolling my eyes. Just shut up already and end the book. Seriously.

The family parts are always so unbearably adorable I want to throw up. A dark romance shouldn't have the healthiest families. It's disturbing. I do like the families don't get me wrong but it's weird. And the fathers' povs are kind of useless as well. I did like Xanders tho. He was so funny with his hate for Jeremy! Adrian's pov was boring again. Name a healthier father-son-relationship aside from the ones in this series.

What a heart pounding and steamy story. Just keeps getting better and better. I was extremely excited to read/listen to this book because I’ve been so interested in Cecily since we were first introduced to her in this series. She’s one of my favorite characters ever. And Jeremy, holy hotness. This man was so delicious. I mean how can anyone not love his broody, twisted and dreamy self. I’m really loving this author’s writing style, it’s so enthralling. I can vividly see all of the scenes play out in my mind. This book was such a quick read, and I found it incredibly hard to stop reading when I had to get back to life. I desperately hung onto every single word. My only gripe is how similar all of the books in this series are. It somewhat feels like the same story told over and over again. Other than that, I really did enjoy this book. Jeremy and Cecily are one for the books and two of my favorite characters in this series! The audio of this book was great. Each of these narrators always do an amazing job. If you’re looking for something dark, dangerous, 

There are LOTS of triggers in this book, make sure you look at those before you read this book/series.

Lover of Romance 

God of Wrath is the third installment in the "Legacy of gods" series and I really was impressed by this one but I have to say this is one of the DARKEST romance books that I have ever read in my life. This hero is crazy, a stalker and took a lot for this author to get me to fall in love with him. I will say though, that if you have enjoyed the previous two books in the series, then this book will most definitely work for you. If not, checks the trigger and content warnings (I believe they are listed on the author's website, if not, reach out and I can give them to you). 

God of Wrath is packed with so many elements. Its an enemies to lovers, some big secrets, primal and knife play and lots of crazyness attached to it. I really liked seeing how everything came together and I just swept all the way through it. I read this 500 page book so quickly! I adored the heroine though, despite her keeping a secret from the hero almost all the way through. Normally it would bother me, but Rina Kent is like my dark romance crack so apparently she can do no wrong. I really felt like the romance itself was so well portrayed and so much depth to it. But it does have LOTS of sex and it gets pretty intense. I think the only thing that would have made it better was seeing the heroine meet the hero's dad. I do love that we get to meet the parents of the kids in these books, makes me want to get through her backlist and soon haha 

Overall I found God of Wrath to be a delicious installment that was a WIN and so worth the wait on! I can't wait to see what she delivers next.
