why is naomisebastian so underrated????? BRO I WAS OBSESSED, i legit read this in less then 24h- THAT CLIFFHANGER THO- imma need to read now the last one 
this was so good, from the moment i read "To your deepest, darkest fantasies." i was SAT, that smut was amazing 
sebastian, i would you hunt me ngl, and naomi i love her.

- "Are you a fucking animal?"
"Monster, to be more specific." 
"Get off me."
"Shhh. I'm not done."
"Done with what?"
"With you."

- "A reporter is asking Sebastian about the reason behind his energy as we pass behind them, heading to our locker room. It happens so fast, I don't even see it coming. One moment, I'm walking, and the next, Sebastian turns around, grabs me by the waist, and tugs me against him.
"The reason is her," he says, and then his lips meet mine."

- "Now I know what you truly are," 
"And what is that?"
"Tsundere."
"What?"
"It means someone who's hot and cold. Violent on the outside, despite being soft on the inside."

- "You don't know me, Naomi, so you're projecting right now and not in a good way."
"You don't know me either!"
"But I want to know you."

- "Never."
"Never say never, baby."
"Why me?"
"Because it's you."
"That's not an answer."
"It's a perfectly adequate one."

- "Stop calling me that."
"But you are." "My own Tsundere."

- "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying were similar, Nao, you and I. And IlI make you embrace it even if it's the last thing I do."

- "Naomi: Who told you I want you as a fan?
Sebastian: Too bad you don't get to choose who your fans are. One day, you'll be having a signing and I'll show up with a copy of your work and kiss you in front of all your other fans. They'll probably cause a ruckus and I'll tell them it's the perks of being your number one.
Naomi: As if I'll let you kiss me.
Sebastian: You won't have a choice.
Naomi: I'll ban you and ask security to escort you out.
Sebastian: That won't stop me, baby. I'll always find a way back in."

- "We're not that common, Tsundere. I wouldn't be able to find someone whose crazy matches mine."
"So you would leave if you were to stumble upon such a person?"
"Never."
"How can you be so sure?"
"It's who I am. I don't lie to myself, so when I say I only want you. I mean it."
"So you're stuck with me?"
"No. You're stuck with me, baby."

"Why wouldn't you?"
"That's the difference between us, Naomi. My focus is solely on you and me, but your attention is scattered elsewhere."

- "The beast and I meet in the dark, in the forest, and do our taboo ritual on that rock or against the filthy dirt.
The beast and I have an arrangement. I take his darkness and he swallows mine. I get off on his unapologetic dominance and he gets off on my unconditional submission. The beast abandons me battered against the rock and doesn't look twice in my direction. But soon after, the man appears. Sebastian. He carries me to his car, cleans me, and drives me home. He sometimes even buys me ointments from the pharmacy. But he never once looks at me with pity or guilt. I don't think he's capable of those emotions and I'm thankful that I don't have to deal with that side of it all."

- "You have no idea how dangerous some addictions can become, Naomi."
"Is that what we have? An addiction?"
"An addiction. An obsession. A madness. Take your pick. Oh, or maybe it's shallow, too."


- "It's loveable, anyway. I like seeing you this way."
"What way?"
"Human, I guess. Real."
"You, however, are always real."
"I'm more real with you."

- "It's in my nature. We can't all be emotionless vaults like you, who only feel when violence is involved."
"That's the thing." "My urge for violence has become less important since you."

- "But she's right. It was just a bet."

dnf at 50%. i’ve seen a lot about this author so thought i’d give this one ago, the idea of pen pals enticed me into it more than anything. The main characters have no chemistry, there’s no plot it’s just straight smut to be honest and after a while it just gets boring. 

there’s also some cringe worthy moments from sebastian in the story he just gave me the ick

Lover of Romance 

This author is one I have known about for a while, as I have seen her books around, but it wasn't until a trust friend that talked me into reading this author, and so I decided on this duet. And as a plus its on kindle unlimited, I will say that even though I was drawn into the story, I found it a very interesting dynamic here. I did find It such a quick read but I wasn't fully invested in the story. I found it very compelling in many respects, but I also wasn't sure if I was on board or not through some of the story. It is actually a story I never imagined would play out the way that it did, and it was a very unique experience. Now is it my top read of the year? Naw its not. But its an intriguing journey of a read with lots of secrets and unknowns that you need to get to the second book to get....so typical me I jump right into book two with no reservations. So in some ways this author definitely worked for me.

This was a no for me.

The main characters had absolutely no chemistry. 

The plot didn't make sense. There was too much going on. The random letters, her wanting to find her dad, Sebastian. I did not like the "plot twists" at all.

I despised Naomi and Sebastian both. I didn't find them likeable characters at all. 

I hated the fact that they never talked to each other before beginning a "scene". And the lack of aftercare was concerning.
