Me gustó mucho el personaje de Rai en general, el de Kyle no tanto, no pude interiorizar con sus acciones por lo que no conecté mucho con él a excepción de la parte final. No obstante, me entretuvo mucho esta segunda y ultima parte. Estoy desando leer las historias de los hijos de los personajes principales.

           Siento que esta historia fue un sí, pero no para mí.

Mi opinión con respecto a Kyle cambió un poco (pero no duró mucho). ¿El hombre arrastrándose por Rai? Maravilloso. Sin embargo, ¿Lo que hizo con lo de las pastillas anticonceptivas? Me dio un poco de repulsión, y puedo entender que RK escribe historias cuestionables, con personajes aún más cuestionables, y todo eso, pero… ¿Debería de existir un límite con ciertas cosas, no? 

El único pensamiento coherente que tuvo Kyle a lo largo de todo el libro… fue en el epílogo, dónde se pregunta en qué estaba pensando cuando quiso embarazar a Rai en primer lugar, y luego admite que no estaba pensando en lo absoluto. Simplemente... horrible.

Una cosa que me causó gracia, aunque no sé por qué, fue descubrir que Hunter no era el apellido de Kyle, sino Fitzpatrick. 

En fin…

El trope de amnesia repentina no es mi favorito. Y no se me escapó el detalle de que RK volvió a repetir esto con Rai, cuando ya lo había hecho con Reina (aunque acá fuera todo una mentira). ¿Qué aportó a la trama? No mucho, más que volver loco a Kyle y demostrar que Rai es una mente siniestra (a medias).

Rai me sigue pareciendo tremenda mujer, aunque siento que no alcanzó del todo su potencial. ¿Tanto le cuesta a RK escribir a una mujer poderosa y con una moral cuestionable que no le importe nada más que su ambición para variar?

¿Los giros en la trama? Ninguno me convenció. Me pareció una historia de mafiosos más, si es que podemos considerar esto una historia de mafiosos, claro. Lo único que me gustó fue ese mini giro de Anastasia siendo la persona tras el robo del dinero y fugándose sin mirar atrás. Bien por ella.

¿Kyle y Rai al final jugando a la casita con sus hijos? No estuvo mal, pero siento que ellos dos hubieran quedado mejor como un matrimonio sin hijos y haciendo cosas de mafiosos. 

En fin, qué ganas de leer ahora el misterio de Adrian y Lia, tengo toda mi fe en ellos.

As suspected, Rina pulled off this storyline just like I hoped she would. From start to finish the action doesn’t stop. Throne of Vengeance sticks to what you would expect from a mafia tale, kidnapping, saving, betrayal, secret family connections, the stuff we love in this trope. And even though some of the events were to be expected, you still couldn’t quite figure out every detail. You may have known what was gonna happen but you didn’t know who was acting upon it or when.

Both Kyle and Rai equally did a lot of groveling because they equally did quite a bit to mess up their own marriage. These two! Enemies who were never truly enemies, they just enjoy the hell out of getting under each other’s skin and I’ll admit it was entertaining to read. Especially when they started letting their walls down, they already had the banter of an old married couple and it’s kinda adorable, definitely made me crack a smirk a few times.

Rai really stood in her own cognizant of power. I enjoyed that the most with these two, her role in the Bratva never faltered. She never goes completely soft for anyone, only showing her vulnerabilities in private to her husband, and even then she’s not scared to turn her heart to stone if need be. Kyle, so cold yet so warm for his wife. For someone who doesn’t think he deserves love because of the means in which he acquired it, thinking it was merely obsession, he sure does know how to dote and it’s just as sexy as when he’s commanding Rai to strip. 

In a whole, this was a satisfying mafia duet. Rina ties the strings of Kyle and Rai’s turbulent love affair together into a dangerously seductive bow. Leaving you with a sense of peace that these two really did find their happiness.

Throne of Vengeance concludes Rai and Kyle's journey. I was so excited to see where this story was going to go especially after where we ended off in the first book and for the most part the first half of this book delivered. Like the first book, this was also a quick read and a page turner. The first half resolves the cliffhanger from the first book a little bit too fast-paced I will say. The second half deals with the overarching plot and gives some reveals about some side characters that I'm hoping to read about their stories. Overall a good conclusion to Rai and Kyle's story

💗(5): ya les dije cuánto amo a Kyle? Su punto de vista es el mejor y él realmente se preocupaba por R y la amaba. El punto de vista de R aveces como que le faltaba romance.

🎭(3): donde está el dramaaaaa? No voy a mentir, hubo unas partes (solo al principio y al final) donde el drama era muy bueno, pero siento que le falto mucho en comparación con el primer libro y lo voy a decir un millón de veces: el final (o sea, lo del robo del dinero) tiene mucho potencial y esperaba más de la gran revelación (porque en el libro es algo tipo: “ah, X se robó el dinero, nadie se dio cuenta y desapareció” y ya, como que les vale ):

😭(4): una vez más, este libro no te hace llorar pero sí está triste, porque K ama a R pero ella se siente traicionada y cuando vuelve a confiar en él, la abandona ):

🎭 (3): where is the dramaaaaa? I'm not going to lie, there were some parts (only at the beginning and at the end) where the drama was very good, but I feel that the first book was so much better and I am going to say it a million times: the end (i mean, who stole the money) has a lot of potential and I expected more from the great revelation (because in the book it is something like: "ah, X stole the money, nobody noticed and disappeared" and nobody care. ):

😭 (4): once again, this book does not make you cry but it is sad, because K loves R but she feels betrayed and when she trusts him again, he abandons her):

🎡 (2.5): there are only about 3 plot-twists and of those 3 only 1 is good, the others are meh.

⚔️ (2): they are still enemies but she wants to kill him and he wants to protect her 🥺
