I love this book so fucking much, takes me back to 2011 when I first discovered Roald Dahl :’)

Simplistic yet action-packed, this is a cute little story for children, so long as you don’t mind your children being exposed to gallows humor.

Don’t really have to say much about this as it is a children’s book and so short. I mostly read it to complete the challenge of reading a book and watching it’s adaptation for the reading rush.

I still found this book highly entertaining and enjoyable. If I’m being honest I’ve been a bit bored with some of Roald Dahl’s books, but I loved this one.

In true Roald Dahl fashion, Famtastic Mr Fox was absolutely endearing. With loveable characters and an interesting plot, one is bound to enjoy this cute little story quite a bit.

A review from my old blog

In Fantastic Mr. Fox, a show off Father Fox ends up getting his tail shot off by three farmers who have had enough of his stealing. Of course, these farmers are disliked by the entire town: human and animal, so all of Mr. Fox's actions are justified. When forced to dig deeper and deeper into the ground to avoid the heavy duty equipment of the farmers Mr. Fox creates an ingenious Robbin Hood like plan to steal from the rich (in this case, the farmers) in order to share with the poor (other digging animals that have found themselves unable to leave their homes because of the farmer's vigil above ground. The book finishes with a huge feast being put on while the farmers wait and continue to wait above ground while these animals continue to steal from them. Hmm... I'm not sure what I think about the purpose of the story but I must say that it is very cleverly written.

Phizzwhizzing new cover look and branding for the World's NUMBER ONE Storyteller! Boggis is an enormously fat chicken farmer who only eats boiled chickens smothered in fat. Bunce is a duck-and-goose farmer whose dinner gives him a beastly temper. Bean is a turkey-and-apple farmer who only drinks gallons of strong cider. Mr Fox is so clever that every evening he creeps down into the valley and helps himself to food from the farms. Now the farmers have hatched a plan to BANG-BANG-BANG shoot Mr Fox dead. But, just when they think Mr Fox can't possibly escape, he makes a fantastic plan of his own . . . Listen to FANTASTIC MR FOX and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy sound-effects from Pinewood Studios! Look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! and HOUSE OF TWITS inspired by the revolting Twits.
