objectively-speaking this is a 3-star book, but the story itself deserves all the stars in the world. thanks rob delaney for letting me vicariously live through his personal tragedy and straight-up putting my heart through a blender.

If you read this without crying then you are either lying about having read it or lying about crying. A book that reaches into your chest, pulls out your heart, and sets fire to it in front of you. I actually listened to this book and it really put things into perspective on a drive back from a hard day at work. Not only is this book a masterpiece of social commentary and human suffering but it also offers bulls**t-free advice for dealing with and helping people who have been through the worst life can throw at them. Quite how he manages to intersperse the tragedy and harrowing loss with laugh out loud comedy and the most hilarious anecdotes of all time, I will never understand. But that's Rob Delaney - 6 out of 5.
