saw someone on tiktok saying that this was like heartstopper x ted lasso and i was like wow, that sounds perfect. well, it was not. it was nothing like heartstopper (except for the cringey conversations) or ted lasso and it was far from perfect. it could be that i‘m a bit biased because they kept calling football soccer and that always annoys me but this book also just felt boring and stupid. the whole idea with the prank and zack taking the blame for it just didn‘t make that much sense to me and i also couldn‘t really connect with any of these characters (except maybe meyers with his taylor obsession and with the part of zack that hates man utd because same bro but otherwise he was a really unlikeable main character). all in all this was just kind of okay ish and just proved to me once again that i shouldn‘t listen to tiktok when it comes to book recommendations.
