New Spring

A Wheel of Time Prequel

Classic Robert Jordan. Even in a 400 page book, he manages to write a great opening, a sloggy middle section and a tight, great ending. 60 pages before the end, I had no idea where this was going and was pretty underwhelmed by New Spring, but the last section made up for most of it. It also was cool to finally see the ceremony for becoming Aes Serai and seeing more of the relationship between Moiraine and Lan. 3.5 stars for me.
