This one was good too. I liked the Egwene story line in this one. Perrin's was quite slow, but Rands was very exciting. 

All in a really good place for the next book! Which I start imminently...

Some sections were too long and not totally nessessary, but I still love these books and the world that Jordan created. 

I’ll keep going because I know the payoff will be worth it! On to the next one.

What a slog. I read that books 7-10 are where Robert Jordan got sick of his main characters and decided to focus on hundreds of other minor characters instead and GOD it's a hard read. Still loved it, the cliffhanger has me desperate for the next one. Definitely my least favourite so far and I hear it gets worse from here but it's still worth it 🥲

Elayne is still a bitch but she and Egwene both get their time in the spotlight here and it was kind of cool.

           Giving this one a 3. Mostly because there was no Mat!! As part of the “lull” portion of the series, I still don’t feel that way but I did find this one lacking in progression in many ways. 

This seemed like a massive set up for the next parts in the many interwoven story lines of this point. 

I’ve come to know now that Perrin parts are pretty level (aka sort of boring) but I really like him as a character so I don’t mind so much. The levelness goes with his personality. Exciting end to his story line in this book though (as with most storyline tail ends in this series). 

Rand story is always a tease. Back and forth with madness all around, not just with the taint but with the warring and handling of situations. 

Aes Sedai are still mad boring here in general but I’m looking forward to the siege that coming up.
