Towers of Midnight was everything I wanted and needed from the 13th book in the series.
 I can't believe I am almost done with the series part of me wants to rush to finish the last book and another part just wants never to be done with it. 
I will unleash my full thoughts of the series in the final review which for some crazy reason I decided to read until March.

First half reminded me of some of the "slog" books. Perrin's development on the wolf-side would have been amazing to read about if it had come earlier in the series, but now felt like a distraction from the greater plot. Way too much time was dedicated to him. Elayne only becomes interesting once she's interacting with other characters again. Second half of the book was pretty great, although Mat's quest seemed quite rushed after all the buildup to it.

This book. I understand why the last 3 are basically one big book (even though each book is a gigantic read…). 

I am so glad I continued my journey this year through The Wheel of Time. There is something that happens through a long series that you just don’t get with stand-alone books or even trilogies. 14 books is a massive undertaking, but the character development and depth of the story is truly remarkable. 

The Jordan / Sanderson combo is amazing and I love how things are coming together. The end of this book was so memorable and I just loved all the payoff from previous books and storylines. One more book (and prequel) and then I will finish my first reading of The Wheel of Time.
