Songs I-XXX.

Brakhage once told me that the notion of calling his adamantine 8-mm films "Songs" came to him from me. The name returned to me as the exact title for these experiments in the extended lyric. These poems are parts of a continuous process of finding each day's song, not of a long poem or any such thing. Roots & manifestations recur: we walk the same streets day by day.
