I’m invested now. This volume did a great job at expanding the characters and their relationships. The writers did a great job with this cast of characters and I’m invested in each and every one of them, including the side characters. This volume did a good job at slowly giving answers, though nothing was confirmed about Kyle’s abilities and the grand scheme of things. I love the overall mystery and the dark atmosphere and tone. The quality of the colouring and framing in this series is impressive, and it definitely improves the vibe the creators are trying to curate.
After that gripping first novel this one is a bit slower but we are getting some backstory on characters and more of the mystery. This series is fantastic, I can’t wait to continue on.
