** spoiler alert ** Sorry, this review won't be that long because I didn't really enjoy it that much. Ok, so I'm all Zombies and apocalypse, (seriously I love Dystopians, Post-Apocalypse, Apocalypse, and Zombie books, anything with world tragedy!) But this didn't hit the spot. I watch The Walking Dead and love it, but thats TV. I hold books at a higher standard. This brought up some interesting questions, How should the Humans treat the dead? How should they govern themselves? How should the humans treat other humans? But, Phillip Blake's complete meltdown freaked me out. I mean, this was definitely the authors intention, but seriously. He's gross and in my opinion it goes the edge. He rapes women, kills anyone who gets in his way and then some who don't. WHen his young daughter Penny gets killed in a show down with rival human group, he goes off the edge, torturing and raping two surviving of the other group until they beg to be killed. His final act was stealing another human girl to rape and cut up and feed to his Zombie daughter. It's disgusting. I only gave this book three stars because I'm pro Zombie. I my opinion, don't read it.

Fast paced, vivid descriptions, interesting to go into the backstory of such a memorable character. Glad I picked this up.
