So many things unravel in this volume. Everyone, especially Rick is losing faith in humanity. After they escape the governor and everything that was done to them, I don't blame him. They are put through hell. I can see some relationships in this volume tested and even slowly breaking. Lori and Rick for example don't seem to ever be on the same page or agree. Its like rick is letting go of what was and becoming who needs to be in order to protect the group while Lori won't. She drills holes in him, drilled his dick to the floor, cut off his arm, stuck a spoon up his butt then takes his eye out with the same spoon and pulls his fingernails off one by one.
