The case itself was interesting enough, but the writing just wasn't for me. Being written by a middle-aged man in the late 50's, it was naturally very "old boys' club" and went off on tangents about fishing and the Upper Peninsula. If you are indeed, a good ol' chap who enjoys freshwater fishing, Traver has a few other books dedicated to the topic.

It wasn't a bad book, but I wouldn't read it a second time.
