This was such a different story than the Blue Sword but just as fun and the perfect addition to the world of Damar! I always love to read a back story. I think it makes everything more real. Aerin-sol and Harimad-sol are my queens and I would die for both of them hahaha (especially Harry, but Aerin has a long life to live where she can get up to more badassery and I would gratefully read that content!) I love women with war horses and wild cats and swords. This duo showed me that’s literally all I need hahaha

More fun than I expected. Ready for a Reddit r/fantasy bookclub discussion. Refreshingly positive and imaginative with a lovely depth to the language and world building. Apparently the Blue Sword is just as good, but it can wait a while - this wasn't compelling enough to go diving into the rest of the back catalogue!
