This could not have been a better book. I loved getting Marcus and Daisy's story. The softer side of Marcus was swoon worthy and Daisy's strong independent attitude was pure Rock Chick.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Rock Chick Awakening is the first novella in the series as #0.5 and I had no idea that there were so many novella's in this series and has me so excited to get to all of them. Now this story, I am so thrilled to see was written because its Daisy and Marcus' book. I am currently on book four of the series, and Daisy is one of my favorite characters in the series and Marcus' yeah he is a good one too despite some of his side businesses (although we do learn later in the series he goes more legitimate and legal) Daisy is such a lovely gal, southern woman who has had a rough life and this is her story. Her mother wasn't very good to her, always bringing in strange men into their lives and living off of them as much as she could. But then she met a kind lady when she was thirteen, who gave her a necklace of pearls, and showed her true kindness. And those pearls bought her a ticked from the dump she grew up in and for a fresh start somewhere new. Now she is working as a dancer at a stripper club, and making GOOD money. She is good at what she does, loves nice clothes and is a good woman who is looking for a good man someday. Then she meets Marcus. Marcus is all GQ material, hot and wealthy but she knows that he only has flings and would never want to be with a woman like her. But when she is attacked and raped, Marcus shows his true colors to her and a relationship slowly forms between them. Daisy finds her prince charming who gives her the happily ever after she has always dreamed of. I found Rock Chick Awakening to be a charming and such a cute romance and the five hours of this audiobook was so endearing and had me smiling the whole way through the story. This book is on the audible romance package, so I highly recommend listening to this novella if you get a chance here. What I love about this book though is seeing the fairytale theme in the story and seeing the true depth behind Daisy and Marcus and seeing their love story evolve. Definitely can't wait to see more of them throughout the series!!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Rock Chick Revolution is the most recent full length novel in the Rock Series and came out middle of last year, and I have to tell you I had a mix of nervousness and excitement upon picking this book up because its Ren and Ally’s book and boy I had no idea what I was getting into with this one here and man Kristen Ashley rocked this book out although I almost put it down at first. But I kept up with it, so around 30% of the book is where it really starts to get good and boy I couldn’t put it down after that and stayed up later than normal to read it before bed. It’s the type of book you can let go of a good nights rest and is SO worth it in every way. And I really felt in many ways so much fun and seeing this book come to fruition was so worth the wait on it from my local library and also we get hints for Darius’ book and I can’t tell you that I want this book NOW because honestly I have wanted his book from the very beginning and some things are revealed that are the perfect teasers. Rock Chick Revolution is a book that starts off where book Seven “Rock Chick Regret” ends with Ally and Ren having a fight at a wedding and both Ren and Ally are passionate and stubborn people so we definitely see them have their share of fights. But Ally and Ren have had been together for a year in a “casual sex” type of arrangement but its way more deeper than just casual sex for either of them but Ally knows that Ren has had certain interests in other women including a rock chick or two and it really pushes her off the edge. So we are taken back to the beginning of their relationship, when they first hook up and the amazing sex they have and all the times they get together for the year and what really develops their relationship and also Ally’s mission to be a private investigator on the side from her two other jobs. But then we are taken to the present where there is more danger for Ally and Ren is pissed and her family is furious when they learn about their relationship and her plans to start her own P.I firm. But Ally is just like her brothers and that being a P.I. is in her blood and its her passion and she needs it like she needs to breathe and she does have some help from Darius and others that steer her right and help with her training and she is really good at what she does and dealing with her relationship with Ren is full of hills and mountains but she finds a beautiful love with Ren but it won’t be easy to keep. As for my family, Ren was Ren and his family was his family and mine were who they were and usually this would be a Romeo and Juliet type of scenario. But I wasn’t big on Shakespeare so my family was also just going to have to deal. Rock Chick Revolution is a story that tugs at your emotions in such a crucial way and I will be honest that I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with this story as much as I did. At first, I even almost put this book down, and I have never done that with a Kristen Ashley novel but yeah I wasn’t really a fan of Ally to be honest. I don’t really connect with “fling/Casual Sex” starters in a romance and so I didn’t really understand why Ally was in such denial about her relationship with Ren in the beginning of the book because she is in denial about her relationship. But we do see how Ren does set her straight about what is really going on between them and somehow they have kept their relationship quiet for a YEAR from the Rock Chicks and I had no clue how she kept it hidden but when it becomes revealed she has some repair work to do with her family and the Rock Chick gang because she has hurt many people that love her and don’t understand why she has kept so many secrets from them. But we see how great these two characters are for each other, and even though Ren isn’t fully on board with her goal in getting in the same business as her brothers, he understand why its so important to her and why she needs it so much. Ren has his own issues that he is dealing with of course, we see how he is trying to become fully legitimate and work with Marcus in their own business. (If you don’t know who Marcus is, he is the hero in the first book/novella who is Daisy’s husband) Now Ren’s uncle Vito (who is like a father to him since his birth father was killed ) but runs a crime business, and even though Ren knows what his uncle is into, he has stayed as clean as possible and his business is fully legitimate but he knows that Vito wants to have Ren take over, but Ren doesn’t want that for himself, he wants to stay clean especially now that he has found the woman he wants to keep for life. Ren is such a wonderful hero though, and even though he makes his own mistakes especially where Ally is concerned, he also fights for her and what they have found together. He never stops believing in her or being her support when she needs him. You’ve got your way, the way you are and the way you are with the ones you care about. And that tells me, a man gets in there, you give that to him, the children you give him, that man will be all kinds of lucky. And I’ve decided we’re gonna see if that man is me In this book we see such a beautiful story and what I have loved about these books is that we see the “falling in love” a bit more early on in the book and there is so much depth of emotion as we see their love grow and see them fight against some evil characters and bad dudes. The character growth in this book is mostly felt with Ally though. She knows her stuff for sure, but she also has a learning curve and something to prove but we see what a natural she is to the business but her biggest challenge is convincing her brothers Hank and Lee of that. But we see how many of the men from Lee’s team is in full support especially when they see her in action and how good she is at handling stressful situations. We see some plot devices that become revealed to the reader and we also see the relationship between Ren and Ally just become more vital to the story and seeing their bond develop was a beautiful journey. Overall I found Rock Chick Revolution to be a wonderful addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what Kristen Ashley does in future books and I dearly hope she keeps going because I love this world that she has created and the bonds of friendship and love we find in each book!! A tale of happy endings and the belief in fairy tales!!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Rock Redemption is the third book in the Rock Chick Series. I have become addicted to these Rock Chicks, their friendship, their laughter and the men that fall in love with. Each story is a bit different and I found myself really enjoying how Rock Redemption plays out in the end. From what I have seen so far in these books, the heroes are full on alpha males. So if you love a well written alpha hero, than these books are for you for sure. I love the arrogance, the strength and how capable they are no matter the situation. The heroines end up being their perfect matches. In Rock Redemption we have Hank and Roxie’s book. Now Hank is a character I have been watching since the first book and LOVE his character. He does work for the police force, but walks a thin line with his connection to his two best friends Lee and Darius. But Hank is proud of what he does and he knows that even those his superiors don’t approve of his friendships, they don’t put a stop to it either because he does good work. Roxie is a heroine that is on the run. Her ex boyfriend, Billy, is obsessive of her and refuses to let her go and is involved in some shady dealings as well. But she has one stop in her plan to stop Billy once and for all, to visit her Uncle Tex but then she finds herself matching up with Hank who sees only black and white and she is full of shades of grey. Her past isn’t clean even though it hasn’t been her fault except falling in love with the bad boy. But as Hank and Roxie begin to learn each other and explore this new relationship they are building, Roxie is hesitant because of her past and of the fact that Billy is hunting her and could harm those she loves including the man she has given her heart to….a man full of warmth and goodness. I had a blast with Rock Redemption and I am really adoring the level of suspense that KA has displayed in these books. They can get a bit predictable at times but honestly those small moments of surprises you just never see coming EVER. I simply love the way that this book evolved. I love Hank, he is solid and a good man and he has to view things in black and white formats because of the fact that he is a police detective. But he walks a thin line which tests him at times especially when his friends are involved. But you see the way that he falls very fast for Roxie and won’t let her get away or let her fears come between them. He is a alpha but a unique sort. I loved the way he handles Roxie though. He is stubborn, tenacious and goes after her like a dog with a  bone. He never ever gives up on her even when she ends up being too stubborn. I loved Roxie though, she has her reasons in wanting to protect Hank (even if he doesn’t need protecting) I simply admired the way that their relationship grew in this book. It definitely is like a tug of war between them, and Hank eventually will have to trust that Roxie will choose the love they have each other over her fears. What proves to be really fun is seeing the friendships between the men and the women in the Rock Chick Club. We get some hoots of fun with Daisy and the gals, some Tex lovin’, barrels of laughs that I have come to admire about these books and plenty of sexy times between Hank and Roxie. They definitely know how to steam up a story for sure. We also get some fun bouts of suspense and intrigue especially involving the villain “Billy” because he is like a cockroach in that he never gets fully captured and keeps coming back for Roxie. Hank and Roxie are definitely tested in this book, but it ends up being what their relationship really needs. You see how they quickly fall in love with each other, but fears and misunderstandings slow down the relationship and trust becomes key in the story. Seeing them learn the value of trust and honesty is what will prove them in the end. I found this story to be just as superb as the previous books, packed with so much KA deliciousness that you won’t want to put this book down!!! A BLAST OF FUN AND SUSPENSE!!

Jules is a woman that has lost just about everyone she loves except her Uncle Nick. She is a social worker and helps out the kids that are homeless and living on the streets. Trying to do what she can to get them away from the drug dealers and get them to a foster family, an education and help them believe in themselves. But on the side of being a social worker, she wants to drive drug dealers off the streets and acts like a vigilante until Vance gets involved and he is sticking to her like glue which she isn't fond of even if he is gorgeous. But Vance knows how dangerous it is for Jules to be doing what she is doing. Antagonizing the drug lords in Denver is only going to get her killed, and won't help the kids she loves and is trying to protect. I really did love seeing Vance and Jules together for the most part. I will admit though, that this is my least favorite of the rock chick books. I was really looking forward to LOTS of great laughs and even though there were some fun parts, nothing like what we see in the previous books so I was a bit disappointed by the lack of humor that I was expecting. And Jules is a alpha female for sure but she kinda drove me nuts at times. She was way too stubborn and prideful. But thankfully Vance ends up being perfect for her. He doesn't let her go too crazy but soon her life is in danger and ironically she has Marcus and Darius supporting her and seems to be trying to protect her from those that want her dead. She gets adopted into the Rock Chick club and I love these ladies in reaching out to Jules even when she doesn't want it. The romance between Vance and Jules was angsty but fun at times too. I did enjoy this book, just not as much as I was wanting. Hopefully the next book will be a good one for me!! Overall I found Rock Chick Renegade to be a satisfying and thrilling romance that will rock your world in many respects!! A delight to read.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Rock Chick Rescue was such an astounding romance to read, and man this book was simply packed with so much romantic goodness you might just have a stroke. What I do love about this book was how unique the plot was while having the voice of Kristen Ashley and her delicious alpha males. I admire Kristen Ashley’s writing, its always so easy to get into and gives me such good feels. Rock Chick Rescue is a story that you can get on board with and cheer on these characters on their journey to happy endings. Jet MacAlister has had to take the world on her shoulders, her father has been practically non existent except for the few times he decides to drop by and say hi but he never stays around very long. Jet’s mother has recently suffered a stroke, and so Jet had to give up her bank job to be a waitress at a stripper club and work part time at a coffee/book shop in Denver. She begins to make a whole passal of friends at the book/coffee shop that prove to have her back including one man that is beyond gorgeous and even though its obvious that he is interested, Jet doesn’t believe that she has the looks to match him or would be good enough. Her life isn’t smooth sailing. But when a stranger pulls a knife to her throat with her father being the one they are hunting, she knows that her life is only going to get crazier. She always thought she led a dull boring life, but once she met Eddie Chavez her world turned upside down and she doesn’t know how to deal with this alpha male that only wants her and she doesn’t understand why he would want her. But Eddie is determined to protect this woman and nothing will stand in his way and soon emotions and love gets tangled in the mix…. Chiquita, women spend a lot of time sittin’ around bitchin’ that there are no good men out there. I hate to tell you this, but there aren’t a lot of good women either. The difference is, when a man sees one, he knows it. Then, he goes after her and wears her down until she’s his. Then, if he’s any man at all, he won’t let her go. Rock Chick Rescue is a story that you can definitely fall in love with. I had a blast with this book here and it was simply superb in just about every way. I will admit that I wasn’t a big fan of the ending, it just didn’t have that happy ever after ending that I expect especially from a KA book. However, I enjoyed everything else about this story. I found myself relating to the heroine in many ways. You see how she does have doubts about herself and I believe that many people can relate to that. She is a hard worker, dedicated to her family and will do anything to protect them. I loved her dedication and willing to do jobs she hates just so she can pay the bills that she needs to. Now our hero, he is one badass alpha male and such a hoot to read. I have to say that I simply adored his character in many ways. He is protective and a typical Kristen Ashley alpha male, so stubborn and likes to have his own way. He sees Jet as the woman she truly is and finds her entertaining and full of life and I love that he never gives up on her even when she gets way too stubborn at times. Jet has a hard time of letting go because she has had to be in charge for so many years she doesn’t know any other way. But Eddie isn’t afraid of a challenge and Jet definitely tests his patience at times but I love how devoted Eddie is to Jet. He adores her and his personality just leaves the reader laughing upside and down. This book could be so outrageous at times and boy JET is CRAZY at times. I mean really, some of her stunts is out of this world---you would never think would actually happen and will leave you with bursts of laughter and it was so fun seeing Jet come out of her shell and discover her own way and who she really is when she isn’t killing herself with work and actually living life.   Overall I found Rock Chick Rescue to be an well written romance with plenty of kick ass moments, it’s a story that is bound to leave you with unexpected bursts of laughter, crazy stunts, enchanting characters and a story to captivate!!!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Rock Chick is the first book in the Rock Series by Kristen Ashley. I simply love this author so much, her writing works for me in every way. She doesn't work for everyone though, if you nit pick books then this author probably won't work for you especially if you want your heroes and heroines to be perfect. Because Kristen Ashley deals with flawed characters, they sometimes make me roll my eyes, have their "blonde" moments but these characters are good to the soul, generous and kind and they deserve love too so I love that KA doesn't write the perfection type characters, I love to see my flaws in characters, I definitely find that I relate to them better. This book I simply LOVED, its outrageous, crazy but so fun and delicious. Our story starts out with our heroine Indy Savage. She is a cop's daughter, she knows how to handle herself, and how to treat any dangerous situation. She is the owner of a used book store/coffee shop. Indy has been in love with a certain man for most of her life, and even though they practically grew up together, he never returned the love she held for him and she eventually gave up hope on him. When Indy's closest friend and employee, Rose, is in hiding due to the loss of some diamonds, Indy is all about protecting her friend. But then Lee (the man she has been in love with for years) decides that he wants to step in and help her out with her situation. Lee deals with private investigations, has his own team and knows how to handle any situation and isn't a man you want to cross. He has loved Indy for quite a while, but wanted to wait for her to grow up before he took any action. But now Indy is in way over her head, and with dead bodies and explosions everywhere, Lee and Indy will work together while finding a common ground in their new found relationship. I simply adored ROCK CHICK.....it simply rocked my world in every way. I don't five star books that often but this book had everything and more that I look for in a romance. First off, its a romantic suspense and I simply love those so much and I don't get a chance to read those that much anymore. Then we also have the fact that the characters that we are introduced to are HILARIOUS!! Now first off I want to say that these characters you do NOT take seriously. Some of what does happen in this book is pretty crazy and insane but outrageously funny too. I loved the humor that Kristen Ashley puts in this book. I have to say its the BEST humor I have read from her books so far and I have read quite a few. But these books I just couldn't stop laughing and I am sure people thought I was nuts bursting out in laughter while reading out in public. But boy this was super good and had me full of happy feels. Now the sex in this book is smokin' which is to be expected when it comes to Kristen Ashley. There is something about her style of writing that will leave you will all those delicious tingles so I never recommend reading or listening to her books while at work or not at home because yeah her books *nodding* are just like that. hehe Now I do want to mention that there is a scene here, that may make some readers uncomfortable. It didn't bother me that much since it didn't happen for a long period of time, however the hero does something to the heroine in bed that some might not agree with and yeah it has issues but even though I was forewarned about this before reading it, there was something about how it was written that for some crazy reason it didn't bug me that much. A little yes, but not as much as I was expecting it to bother me. Now the interactions between Lee and Indy were so funny, so funny you will fall of your chair laughing. I loved their bantering. Now they know each other pretty well, but haven't seen much of each other in recent years so there is somet catching up to do a bit. They both have been secretly in love with each other but haven't fully shared that with one another. So there is a bit of denial especially on Indy's side of things. I understand though, Lee wasn't very nice when saying he thought of her as a sister....I mean really, that will turn any woman off. But Lee is great at groveling and proving to Indy that he is there for the long haul. He is such an alpha though, whew SUPER Alpha Male in this book, but probably one of my favorites that Ashley has written. And our Indy, she is always getting into trouble and such but she handles everything so well. I love her cool composure in tense situations. Overall I found Rock Chick to be a fantastic romance that tickles and delights, its a story of action, intrigue, danger and some sweet lovin'!!! ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR!!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance *May Contain Spoilers* Rock Chick Revenge is the fifth book in this wonderful series and I had a blast with this book. I swear that Kristen Ashley will never write a bad book EVER....every book that I read from her is simply amazing. And Rock Chick Revenge is no exception. Now I thought about giving this book a higher rating but my one complaint about this book is the handcuffing to the BED.....and leaving the heroine there, that just rubs me the wrong way. But honestly, I still LOVED this book quite a bit, despite what the hero does. Now this book I was nervous about and waiting until the end of three weeks of my loan to read it and boy it got close to losing it hehe but I read it just in time with a few hours to spare. :) This story does have a revenge plot with the heroine hating men...now she has had some bad experiences granted but I don't really like these type of gals most of the time but typical KA she won me OVER. She does no wrong in her writing style that is for sure. Our story sets off with our heroine, Ava, who hates men and she is trying to help a friend Sissy out of trouble with her husband. Sissy is trying to divorce her husband who tried to come onto Ava in a very obvious and not so cool way. And Dom "Sissy's husband" is part of a crime family and divorcing him will NOT be easy. So Ava has one person she knows and probably the one man she doesn't fully hate, to help her out. Who could find some dirt on Dom to free Sissy from him who is currently in hiding from him. But when she arrives at his place of work, she realizes she has made a mistake, she hasn't seen Luke in years and she still loves him. Luke and Ava were childhood friends and both really cared for each other. Ava had abusive sisters and a mother who always saw her as fat and plain but Ava has worked her tail off to shave off the weight, changed her hair to prove to herself that she is worthy of Luke. And boy Luke is mad when he sees her (since he was more than fine with how she was before). But when Luke senses that Ava is in trouble he knows that he has to help her and now that she is back in his life he won't let her go. He isn't a badass alpha for nothing. But there is more danger to Ava than Luke or Lee and his team realizes and with lots of kidnappings, shootings and rock chick club shenanigans....Rock Chick Revenge is a story guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm not stupid, I know your heart's involved in this and I've never, not once in all the time you've known me, given you the idea that I won't handle it with care Rock Chick Revenge is a book that I got so many kicks and giggles out of. Its such a well-written story for sure. Now Kristen Ashley's style of writing is definitely NOT for everyone, so I know that there are some romance readers out there that will not enjoy Kristen Ashley and most especially in her way of writing alpha males. But I adore me some alpha lovin' and the way that Kristen Ashley writes her heroes are so wonderful and work for me in every way. Now I do want to mention that this hero is like all the others...they love handcuffing their women to their beds. But in this book the issue I really had, was Luke leaves for a while when he gets called away on a job and just leaves her handcuffed for hours and I just wasn't okay with that situation. Luke is a great hero though in many other ways, I love the way that he accepts Ava for who she is and has always loved her. He is a bad boy at times, and very caveman in some ways but I got a kick out of him. He wants Ava back in his life both the old Ava that was sweet and funny and the new Ava who is kick ass and keeps him entertained. I did like quite a bit their fun bantering and seeing who would win the argument. Which in hindsight, neither of them really do. It's more of a mutual compromise which is very relatable for real life. Daisy said to me that I was trying to find ways to protect my heart but I was doing it wrong. She told me the best way to protect my heart was to trust it to someone who will protect it for me. More silence but his body went completely still. “That’s you. It’s always been you. Now Ava is very BITTER against men and so I was worried if I would like her character much because I don't care for men haters at all. But Ava has had many bad experiences with men screwing with her in different ways so I can see why she could become bitter but when Luke comes back in her life, she starts to see that not all men are the same. Some are bad apples and others aren't so rotten. We see her emotional growth though in this one, in learning the difference and accepting the good and bad parts of herself. I did relate with her in some other ways especially in body image and all, since I think many women can relate to that. And even though she started her changes for a man, it ends up being more for herself in the end and I loved that. Another fun aspect of the story that I always love is the SUSPENSE. I love a good action set up with lots of intrigue and suspense and boy Kristen Ashley can write suspenseful elements so well. In this book, we have different factors but I enjoyed seeing the story develop and see the pieces of the puzzle really come together in this book. And yes we get so much fun times with the Rock Chick Gang. I love all the members of this gang so far and how they support each other even if that means going against their men at times. (Although there are some men in the group too:) But they really have a strong bond and have each other's backs one hundred percent. What I did know was that I was someone special to Luke and I always had been, just like he was and always had been to me. And that knowledge made my world tilt so much, I was certain I was going to fall off. The romance between Luke and Ava is full of a battle of wills, lots of tension and witty bantering and hot sex of course in the only way that KA writes her love scenes. But we also see Luke and Ava come to terms with the past and build something together. They have some issues to be resolved of course, but they also both have loved each other for many years and this is their "second chance" to have something precious together. I adored the way they come together and despite the other conflicts to their story, its very well written!! Overall I found Rock Chick Revenge to be a powerhouse of a romance....its packed with plenty of emotional punches, rock chick dramatics and tension-filled action to keep you on the EDGE all the way through!!!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance . I have adored this series so much, some of my favorite books that this author has ever written. This Rock Chick gang is so fun and I love their friendships and how they support each other no matter what happens. Of course, with Rock Chick Reckoning I was a bit apprehensive for this book, I was sure I was quite in the right mood for a rock star romance but I picked it up because I was hoping that Kristen Ashley wouldn’t let me down and man…..SHE WON MY MOOD!!! I fell in love with this book and it might just be one of my favorite books of the year so far!! (and yes the year just started so that probably isn’t saying much) hehe Rock Chick Reckoning begins with our heroine, Stella who is the lead singer and guitarist in the Gypsies band that remains local. Stella breathes and lives music, But there is one place in her life that she aches for….having Mace in her life. He broke up with her over a year ago and she still misses him but her life is going to run into his unexpectedly. When one of her band members girlfriend is murdered and Stella is almost killed with Mace saving her life, she is not the only one in danger. All the Rock Chicks have their lives threatened and she knows that it won’t be easy surviving this especially with being near Mace again and all the pain he reminds her of. There is an enemy, and with the feds and the Lee Investigations team getting close to bringing down their enemy, he is coming after them with everything that he has and threatening the Rock Chicks and anyone connected to them. But Stella refuses to let this stop her from her music but this is where Stella and Mace come to terms with past mistakes and start anew with learning each other’s secrets and opening their hearts to each other. Rock Chick Reckoning is a story that is full of emotion and action and I definitely think that this might be my favorite of the series. There was something so raw about this book that just speaks to the reader, the emotion that is immersed in this story is captivating and I wanted Stella and Mace to find the peace they both deserve. Both Stella and Mace have painful pasts: Stella with suffering abuse as a child growing up and learning to survive by living in the black. Then Mace who lose his teenage sister when she was kidnapped and was murdered as revenge against their father who refused to give himself up for her. And it broke something in Mace that he keeps hidden away. Last night, instead of sleeping,he just lay behind her, listening to her breathe and thinking that sound was sweeter than any song he’d ever heard her sing. And his Stella had a beautiful voice, never heard better What is the most emotional portion of the story is seeing Stella and Mace open themselves up to the pain they have suffered in the past so that they can open each other’s hearts. And I have to say that at first in the story, you have the typical bantering and fighting between Stella and Mace that we have seen with the previous couples, but it changes in such a moving way once they move past their distrusts and illusions and find out the truths about each other. This is where their relationship really grows and seeing the depth that we see is powerful. Despite the danger that they are in, we see them come to terms with who they are and the pain they have been tortured with for so long. Its truly a story that really makes you look at yourself in a different way and admire these characters and what they achieve. My heart went into my throat. I leaned back against Luke, his arm moved to wrap around my chest and we watched two people we both cared a lot about. They were in love, they were healed and most of all, they were outrageously happy. Overall I found Rock Chick Reckoning to be a head over heels installment that will delight and intensify your reading experience, packed with laughs and tears, its a story you won’t ever forget. UNFORGETTABLE

Spoil Free Review Rating - 1 Star - Did Not Like It Genre: Contemporary Romance Heat: Hot - Fan Yourself Source: Purchase It breaks my heart to give one of my favorite authors such a low rating but Jet was the worst heroine I have ever read in a Kristen Ashley novel. I have only given 2 of KA novels 2 stars ok ratings and that was only because of other issues within the novels. Jet character was the most annoying all the way through the novel. Indy annoy more than not in her book Rock Chick #1 but at least there were times I did enjoy her character. But Jet was the worse for me and got on my nerves so bad. For me it was so bad that even Eddie did not save the novel for me. At least Lee in Rock Chick #1 was able to let me enjoy the first novel. It could be that maybe I did not like Eddie or really get a feel for him because I did have to skim through some of Rock Chick Rescue. I had to or else it would of been a DNF for me. I really hope all the leading ladies in the Rock Chick series are not annoying. So far this is book 2 and already having this pattern. Originally posted at Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

Spoil Free Review Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It Genre: Contemporary Romance Heat: Hot - Fan Yourself Purchase: Nook This is my third attempt in Rock Chick series and at least Rock Chick Redemption was more an enjoyable read for me. I actually liked Roxie. I felt bad for her dealing with her crazy ex., but I still had a few issues with her character. I am starting to see a trend with the Rock Chick main Heroines as they love to push the hero away time and time again. But I feel like I really get no reasons why they do so. I understand why Roxie would not want a relationship with Hank especially after having to deal with a crazy ex. I adored Hank as he was your typical KA hero. Protective, loving and caring. The problem for me in Rock Chick Redemption is when it is good it is freakin fantastic especially with her crazy ex. Love those parts and of course with the help of KA sexy, alpha males. But when it is bad it is the worst especially when it came to the "Hot Bunch". The parts with the gang and all their crazy personalities are dragged out. I get this crazy group of friends are a main part of the series but really could of done without a lot of their nonsense rambling. I felt the scenes dealing with her ex and even some scenes with her trying to cope with her feelings with Hank were intense and was loving every minute of it. But then I am slapped with a new scene that is with the "Hot Bunch" and was just crazy stuff that is suppose to be funny. I have read many novels that are intense but still have a bit a humor in it and loved it. In Rock Chick Redemption the humor and craziness that was going on did not flow nicely. I feel like something is wrong with me as I am not connecting with this series. Everyone I know seems to love this series. Everyone does have different tastes as there are may novels I have loved, others did not and vice versa. I am going to give Rock Chick series another go. If Book 4 does not catch my attention I will take it as a series just not for me. Originally posted at Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

Spoil Free Review Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It Genre: Contemporary Romance Heat: Hot - Fan Yourself Source: Bought (Nook) This is something I have never read before. Rock Chick reads more like a comical mystery. I gave it 3 stars liked it because I am not really sure how I actually feel about it. There were times the story annoyed me and that was because Indy got on my nerves more than once. But then there were times, few and far I actually enjoyed her character. Lee was of course like all Kristen Ashley's heroes sexy, possessive with an Alpha Male Attitude. It seems like all Indy's friends are a bunch of crazies and all Lee friends are reserved. I love friends to lovers theme. Was not always feeling Lee and Indy's connection on this. The action was over the top for me and crazy but I am assuming that is what it is suppose to be like. So I will take that in consideration when reading book #2. Originally posted at Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

Maybe it’s me. Everyone loves this author so I have been holding on to this series as my introduction to her, but 3 books in and the women just annoy me. Maybe it’s just not my thing, or maybe it’s this series. I have books 4-8 but will hold off and try again. They aren’t awful. I definitely chuckled quite a bit, but overall just dragged on for me.

IM SO WEAK AND SO HAPPY. IM SO HAPPY WE FINALLY GET TO SEE THEIR STORY UGH I LOVE MARCUS AND DAISY SO MUCH. IF MARCUS WASNT ALREADY MARRIED TO DAISY I WOULD HAVE HIM FOR MYSELF. OR MAYBE JUST A MARCUS SLOAN OF MY OWN BEC DREAM MAN HUHU On a more serious note, the build up was a verrry slow burn that i was just as frustrated as daisy was at that point but done at the perfect moment. And i felt like i got the old KA magic mojo vibe back again aaahh hope she writes like this again bec her past few books felt a bit lackluster?

Indy Savage has been in love with Lee Nightingale ever since she was five years old, but once she realized he would never be hers, she decided the best course of action was to avoid him. Even though they continue to see each other at family gatherings, Indy manages to stay away from Lee until she finds herself in the middle of a situation involving her barista, Rosie, and stolen diamonds. When Lee discovers that Indy is in danger, he resolves that it is time for him to step in and not only protect her, but also get her into his bed. Once Rosie goes missing, Lee uses his questionable business contacts to find the elusive Rosie and to get Indy out of danger once and for all, but what happens when the danger passes? Will Indy and Lee find enough common ground for a more permanent relationship? Rock Chick is a wild ride filled with quirky characters and hilarious situations. Trouble seems to always find Indy, and Lee's life is filled with mysterious characters just like himself. It is understandable that many characters are introduced in this story since it is the first in a series of several books, but it did make the book tough to follow at times. The banter between the characters is enjoyable, but it is definitely reminiscent of the Stephanie Plum books and doesn't quite hit the same level of amusement. However, overall, Rock Chick is a great beginning to this series about a group of unconventional men and women.

Mad as a box of frogs (well she is Tex's niece after all) but with an even worse opinion of herself than Jet in book 2! Also, this book introduces my favourite of the hot bunch! Luke! Loved Hank, you could see how he fell hard and quick, and just wanted to help Roxie. And Roxie, she does not fight this just for the sake of fighting. No, she fights it, as she thinks she needs to protect Hank and all his friends. Loved her parents, loved the little view we get into Daisy and Marcus' life (I hope they get a book of their own at some point). Even the bad guy, you can sort of end up feeling sorry for. He is not a cartoonish bad guy, as can often happen in Romance books (not with KA though). He is clearly not nice, or does good things, but you can tell he had a terrible life, and felt like he needed Roxie as she was the only good thing in his life. Again, another excellent book I can re read many times, and another great addition to the series.

Shall keep it short. LOVE LOVE LOVE Eddie. Adored Jet, even if she drove me insane at times. I enjoyed how Jet had spent most of her life, looking out for others, sacrificing for her family, yet in this book she has an entire group of people all stood there willing to be her back up and catch her when she falls. With Eddie right at the front of that group. Eddie had spent months trying to get Jet's attention, and when he eventually has his chance, he refuses to let anything, even Jet herself, spoil it. Add in some bad guys, a bit of drama, some funny moments, and it is an excellent 5 stars. A great addition to the Rock Chick series, and one of my favourite couples in the series - shall be a book I re read many more times.

Check out this and my other reviews at My Blog, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest ★Book Basics★ Genre : - Cont. Romance Series : - Prequel to Rock Chick series (although would advise having read Rock Chick first) Love triangle? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)] Would I read more by this author/or in this series? - Yes Rating - 3.5 stars ★Review★ Ok, so I was not one of those KA fans who yearned for a Daisy and Marcus story, although when I found out there would be one, I was happy. And i did enjoy it, and even shed a tear at the epilogue! It was beautiful. However given the events of this story and the history and backgrounds both Daisy and Marcus had, I worried a novella length story would not do them justice. And in a way, I do still feel that. Events that happen in this book, for me, were not really dealt with or could have enough page time given to them for want of a better way to say it, as due to the limited page count, things had to move forward quickly. So for me, it felt a bit not quite brushed over, but not given the time it should have been. And also, as such, I felt like I did not really get to know Marcus other than a rather 2 dimensional fashion, and the same with Daisy, this book relies heavily, imo, on you having read The Rock Chick series to get a feel for Daisy as a character, because at times she felt like a caricature of herself. Oh and how old is she meant to ruddy well be? Did I miss that, Marcus was 35 in this book iirc. And I did wonder on the timeline of this, before we get to Rock Chicks.. But in saying all that, I did enjoy it, loved the epilogue, I just think given their rather sad background, and awful events of this book, it was deserving of a actual full size book.
