He loved this tender, caring side of her. It was such an important part of who she was and she worked so hard to cover it up. As if it were a weakness instead of one of her greatest strengths.

Rock Hard is the second book in the "Sinners on Tour" series and in this story we have Sed and Jessica's book here. We really see the truth depths to their past. I actually really had a blast with this one, I really think I am in the best frame of reading to really enjoy these books and I am glad that I didn't try picking them up years ago. I have really adjusted my reading preferences. This story definitely has more in the sex content so be warned of that. It is borderline erotic romance but I love the way in which this author writes her steam and balances it so well with a well penned story.

There is a sense of forbidden, angst, and second chance in this story. There are some misunderstandings between the hero and heroine so we get to see them work through those and seeing them being more mature a couple years later and willing to fight for each other. I wasn't a big fan of the "fling" of the relationship in the beginning, but it eventually wins in the end. I did love the fact that the heroine does have to work on winning her hero back. I really gravitate towards a pining heroine, and honestly, both of them pine for each other but in different ways.

Overall I found myself falling in love with these band members again, and most of all wanting to cheer this couple along as they work their way towards their HEA!

I didn't like it as much as the first book. I felt that the 180 degree change of Sed was a little unbelievable. How could he go from a tormented Alpha asshole, to the mushy lovey dovey character in this book.

No, seriously, I can't tell you a lot about this book because it's seems to be only about fucking. Which would be alright if it were only erotica, but it's supposed to erotic romance... and you need plot for romance and character development and so much more.

You're probably already guessing that I did not ship Jessica and Sed. At all. Not even a little bit. Honestly I wasn't giving a chance to start rooting for their romance because there is none.

And to go even further... I kinda despise them. Little spoiler ahead probably, but I won't be giving too much away, I think. One of their friends is addicted to drugs and they help him get clean without a hospital. While he is in withdrawal they have to fuck right next to him because they just can't help themselves. What. The. Fuck. Empathy levels are below zero. How can you be horny in a situation like that?! And then go through with it...

The only parts I liked in this novel where those featuring Trey. He is one of my favourite characters in this series and the following one.

Okay, that's not entirely true. At the beginning I did like Jessica. I was so proud of her for taking her life into her own hands and not giving a fuck about the future Sed had planned for her. God, was he an asshole... And at first I thought there would be no female hating/slut shaming. And then it began and become worse and worse and worse.

FYI: After writing this review I'm lowering my rating from 2 stars to 1.5 stars. I wasn't aware of how much I hated this book until I started putting it into words and now it doesn't feel like two stars book to me anymore.

Loved Sedric “ Sed” Lionheart in Backstage Pass but for me his book Rock Hard was 3 stars -Liked It. Rock Hard is full of misunderstandings and drama. 
 
Sed is an alpha male who feels he needs to take care of everyone including the love of his life Jessica. He never thinks before he speaks and this leads to a lot of misunderstanding from Jessica and his band mates. He does not sugarcoat anything, tells it like it is and at times to others he seems to come off as a hard ass. No matter how big the problem is he will be there for his loved ones. That in my eyes is a sexy hero.
 
I was not a big fan of Jessica with the games she played with Sed’s heart. Loved how she wants to be independent and works hard to get what she wants. 
 
Sed and Jessica were hot together that I thought my poor kindle was going to catch on fire. Even though the sex is scorching I did feel at times it was little over the top and unbelievable. They were big on public sex in Vegas. They were at it in front of the volcano fountain show, Eiffel Tower, Wave Pool and oral play under a table in a restaurant. I love reading about public sexing but for me the volcano fountain show and wave pool scene was over the top unbelievable with tons of people around. As for their relationship there are some ups and downs. Loved the ups and thought they were a sexy couple. The happy moments of them being playful was a joy to read. As for the downs felt bad for Sed, he would say or do something that would mess up with Jessica and her life. It seems like when he would fix one thing with her something else bad would happen. 
 
As always love the secondary characters in this series as they all play a good role in the novels. Trey played a big part in Rock Hard and his scenes broke my heart. Loved when the Sinners were in concert as always Olivia Cunning has a way of writing where you feel like you are right there front and center.
