U.S. Policy and the Future of the United Nations

The Twentieth Century Fund and Wilton Park cosponsored a conference on the United Nations to address issues of international concern. A large group of scholars, diplomats, and UN officials addressed such issues as the problems and unfulfilled promise of the specialized and functional agencies; focusing on the potential for reforming their staffing, management, financing, program integration, and organization. This book presents essays that were presented at, or were the product of, the conference in 1993.
