Symbiosis and Ambivalence Poles and Jews in a Small Galician Town
Taking ordinary people in a small southern Polish village as a case study, Lehmann (Menasseh Ben Israel Institute for Jewish Social and Cultural Studies) explores the complex nature of relationships between Poles and Jews as they have been hammered out by composite historical processes. Her study does not offer an answer to whether or not Polish anti-semitism is special, nor does it pass judgement on any of the people concerned with it.
