I really enjoyed the continuation of this story. I also enjoyed the art; I think that it complements this series quite well. I loved getting to learn more of Tommy's backstory and about his childhood and his interactions with his siblings and parents, especially during his teenage years. I got to see more of what he was struggling with and how he felt in certain situations. I really enjoy this graphic novel series and recommend it if you enjoy Jeff Lemire's work and/or if you enjoy stories about family secrets and mystery. I will definitely be continuing with this series.

I loved the continuation and ending of this story (I'm guessing it's the end of this series.) I loved learning even more about Tommy and what really happened, discovering more of the mystery. I also really enjoyed learning more about Tommy's family and their secrets. I also liked seeing how each family member dealt with Tommy differently. This was such a great volume to conclude this series. I would like to read more volumes, if there are every any more released, about what happens to Tommy's family after this volume. This was a very enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it. For fans of Jeff Lemire or people who enjoy stories of family secrets and mystery.

I finished volume 1 and I really enjoyed it. The artwork accompanied the story very well, in my opinion. It is definitely Jeff Lemire's usual style. I enjoyed the story and the various topics that it covered. The story shows a look into the drama of this family and the dark past that haunts them. I will be continuing on with the other volumes.

Royal City sets up an eerie premise of a family haunted by a dead son/brother in a slowly dying rural town. Everyone has a secret problem that seems to normal until the strangely changing ghost comes into play. I'm not always fond of Lemire's work, but this one has be quite intrigued!

That was a disappointingly conventional happy ending to an eerie book that felt like it was going somewhere much darker. I have been Lemired, again!
