Hard to rate this collection. Some are rather meh but I enjoy Kipling’s style greatly so I still enjoyed them in that regard. The Man Who Would Be King and Baa Baa, Black Sheep (that one is an emotional JOURNEY) were my favorite of the bunch.

Some stories were better than others. Nevertheless, the book was at a dissadvantage given my usual dislike for story collections and the fact I was gifted this book not for its contents but for its nice cover.

Along with the title piece, the volume includes "Gemini," "A Wayside Comedy," "The Hill of Illusion," "Only a Subaltern," "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep," "Black Jack," and others.
