Vlari was born a princess, but lives her life as unassuming as possible to avoid the wrath of the Unseelie queen. She keeps her powers hidden, and deals in secrets and favors. But when war erupts, Vlari's powers are fully awakened and she may be the only thing standing between Tenebris and destruction. I was so hooked into this book! It's a striking adult fantasy, with all the classic elements of the fae. There's action, adventure, romance, and excellent characters. I loved Vlari, and how she developed. I like that she's not a perfect character and has many interesting flaws and shades of grey. And I love Drusk! And the banter was on point. There's also some steam to this read, and I was here for the relationship development. There's some great elements of humor too. I definitely recommend this one if you're a fan of fantasy, hate to love, and fast paced books! Thank you to Book of Matches Media and the author for the arc!
