Human matters. We often find people running behind materialistic rewards often forgetting about the people around them. This important message is mentioned in this book beautifully through a small girl. This is a great work. And also, the sceneries described are just amazing. I definitely love this book!

A story of how love for few things in us can make us stay distant to people, 
How people admire them but despise us at the same time. 
How , the want for those things make us what we never were 
and how , letting those things go , can make us happy and grow some really good relationships.

After I started reading books that were meant for older people, I started to think that I no longer had any use for children’s books. They were now mere fairy tales, with world-building I no longer liked and characters I now despised. 
So, it is a truth self-evident that picking up this book was a bit of a challenge and hassle for me. On one hand, I wanted to explore more books by this author and on the other hand, I absolutely despise children’s books. But the explorer part of me won and here I am today, a few weeks later. 
This book seemed simple at the start, a quick read and a wholesome, cute one. Yet, it tugged at my heartstrings. The emotions that this umbrella could pull out amazed me. 
But what broke me, even more, was the friendship between the shop owner and the young girl. Little things like those, break me nowadays, in a world where it seems like everything is going wrong, these friendships keep me alive. Whether it is the daily interactions with the guards of my building or the bickering aunties I see when I’m cycling. These little things seem so routine and ordinary yet so heartwarming. These little things keep me alive nowadays, they keep me going and help me get through difficult days. 
And maybe, it is the little things in life that matter. The sound of the shower, the song that you have played 1000 times. Or maybe the familiar feel of your books is accompanied by the soothing voice of the audiobook's narrator. Maybe it’s the voice of Ben Barnes playing the darkling or the outrageous vine reference that your sibling sends you. 
I’m here to tell you that nothing except the little things in life matter, nothing less and nothing more.
