It took me so long to finish this book (1 year) that I often joked to myself that I was progressing through it like Rust -- slowly, but surely. That's not to say that the book wasn't phenomenal, however. Waldman did really well in linking together various stories in completely different realms around one single topic. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in reading more scientific nonfiction, but struggles with the more technical aspects of what's happening. I'm not going to lie, I did get lost at a few points, but there are more than enough anchor points to bring you back into the narratives.

My favorite chapter was the one about Can School. I would read that again, even before rereading the book.
