After the first 5 high school bully romance, you start to realise almost everything feels the same. The male protagonist is always written the same way. Popular, rich and holds a childhood grudge on the female protagonist; who can't seem to defend herself at all and even if she does it's usually because of what appears to be revenge porn. Margo is the same way no matter how Caleb humiliates her she always finds herself back in his presence. I feel like a good f**k you would solve most of these problems but I digress. I felt a lot of second hand embarassment in chapter 12, when Theo told her to go home and she stayed in the house anyway until she was dragged out. Girl come one, what does it take to have some form of self respect? I can't get behind a bully protagonist who doesn't even have a proper reason for his actions. He's all about me, me, me what about Margo? She's literally homeless and parentless. Why does she have so much time to be dragged up and down in petty child like squabbles?

Wow! Was not expecting that WTF just happened huge twist. Caleb the alpha-ahole in Wicked Dreams (Fallen Royals #1) by S. Massery has a serious long grudge from his past with Margo. Readers and Margo have no clue why. Margo has no memory of her past before going to foster care when she was little. I need to know what she did and why she has blocked a huge part of her life out. For the most part her character was hoping to have more of a back bone but I did try to understand where she was coming from. In a new foster home with a family that is nice to her so do not want to cause any problems. Interesting cast of secondary characters with Eli, Theo and Liam who are Caleb friends. Love that get a good amount of teasers and possible couples for future books .
