Mehh ending regarding who was killed and who did it.

( I received this advance copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review) So disappointing. The problem with this book is that there are multiple mentions/speculations of abuse/assault on the female characters, and by the end of the story the author paints those characters to possibly be “lunatics” or “crazy” (words actually used in the book), that the women could be imagining the abuse, and leaves the reader completely confused with the ending. The story is about a man physically abusing women in his life, but those women become convinced they are imagining it because of their past trauma, even though they are seeing and experiencing events which are vividly described as real in the story. The worst part is the story ends and does not confirm that the women were correct in their convictions, but rather has the female characters second guessing their experiences and leaving the reader with the impression that the abuser was a good guy and the women made it all up. How on earth did the author and editors not see the issue with this!? In an era of the #MeToo movement and advocating “believe women” this book’s message is not it. I hope the author fixes the ending and does not release it as is because it makes light of a serious subject and could be extremely triggering for some people.

Ever since I found out about "The Younger Wife", I've been waiting to get my hands on it. Sally Hepworth proved herself to be a top-notch author with "The Good Sister". Stephen Aston, a celebrated, surgeon, is getting married to Heather Wisher, a woman who is younger than both of his daughters, Tully and Rachel, much to their chagrin. This book is told through the POV of three women in his life. Even though this was hard to put down right from the beginning, it took me a while to like the women because I thought they weren't all that likeable. But with time and the pages, I found that the things I didn't like about them turned out to be the things that warmed them to me, All these women are deeply flawed and sometimes you wonder why they act the way they do. But that's exactly what makes them so relatable. We all have our bad days, our neurosis, things that we are insecure about and we witness these women at their worst but they are still amazing. Sally Hepworth surprised me with her sassy and poignant commentary. A domestic drama with elements of mystery that is worth every page. Would highly recommend to every woman and fans of the author. Thanks to Netgalley and Hodder & Stoughton for the advanced e-copy.

I was drawn nine from the very start. I thought I knew what was going on but each page held another surprise. The secrets and drama of every character kept me reading well into the night, This is a family drama with a lot of twists and turns.
