Unique in that it provides parents with a way to teach their children about the entire Biblical narrative, centred around Jesus (a Christological reading if you will), rather than to teach shallow morals. I liked how it brought every Old Testament story back to Jesus. There's obviously some interpretation involved with a project like this (this especially comes through during the story of the crucifixion), but overall I think Lloyd-Jones makes helpful choices in her story-selection and approach. I'll definitely read it again to my son when he's older (he was too little to understand this time round...).
