I really enjoyed this! LOVED the connections to society and the decisions that are being made today and the spice was great. Check the triggers, the author did a great job in explaining that the dynamic was NOT intended to be a depiction of a BDSM dynamic. I think that is very responsible of the author. This could have been 5 stars if the main side character was a little bit more likable. I liked Ressa and that she called out the bad shit she saw, but I wanted her relationship with Mina to grow a little more

This why-choose, gothic romance was incredible with depictions of what this country could become after a pandemic and the fall of roe v. wade. **chefs kiss**
