I actually really enjoyed this. Age gap bully romance. A bit dark in places but I couldn’t put it down.

I’ve been on a Sara Cate binge and this was my least favorite so far. The plot just wasn’t that interesting to me. I found the FMC kind of weak. And the switch of the MMC wanting revenge to actually liking the FMC seemed to quick to me. Of course the spice scenes were good though; Sara Cate’s always are.

This was recommended to me by a friend as a good book hangover cure, and boy was it effective. This is a student/professor, age gap, bully romance. I thought this was a pretty unique concept, seeing as the FMC is the authority figure and her male student is the one doing the terrorizing as part of a revenge plot. So the power dynamic was pretty juicy IMO. The basis of the plot is that she's a journalist famous for putting Cullen's father away for some fucked up shit like human trafficking and hasn't been able to reach that same career-high in the 10 or so years since--so naturally, she resorts to teaching at a local college. Cullen is her student, and they immediately have a TON of sexual chemistry that he uses to his advantage to blackmail her into submission. The spice in this book is bonkers excellent. Many of the scenes are rough and dirty, with just the right dash of kink sprinkled in. I'd definitely recommend this one as a good slump-buster!
