Didn’t really care for Garrett like he’s 36 but acts like he’s 20??? I think Mia could have done a lot better… GIRL STAND UP. I didn’t really feel the chemistry between them. It just felt all physical to me. 

The story was lazy and not very fleshed out. Also how were the parents totally cool about that??? The age difference was off putting too considering he knew Mia since she was 8 and he was 21?? 🤨 I think the author could have aged her up or even aged him down. That 13 year age gap was not necessary.

Honestly jumped right into the action and kept me engaged long enough to have to finish it in one day.

God I love smut, I’m not a big “fall for your stepsister” fanatic, but the story and scenes were yummy.

I absolutely adore Sara Cate’s writing! This book was exactly what I was looking for. And compared to the first one? I definitely think this one is much better! There was a ton of emotion put into and I thought the mental health aspect was handled very well! 

And in all honestly both Mia and Garrett are hot and are stepsiblings, so automatic 4 stars in my book 🤷🏻‍♀️

I loved it, my mf god i read it so fast. The plot, the chemistry, the forbiddeness everything was stunning. Mia as a confident plus size fmc was cherry on top. Enjoyed it a lot !!

  First Impressions

Eyes On Me is the second installment of the Salacious Players Club series, and with the third book being released in a week, I knew that now was the best time to grab up this book here. I was really curious to see what this one would deliver. I had seen some mixed reviews on this one, so I was hoping that this one would be a win for me and I can safely say that this one was such a solid read for me. I was highly apprehensive as it features a step-sibling romance and those don’t normally work for me as well as involving a voyeurism kink which isn’t my favorite kink to personally read about. But Sara Cate, definitely worked her magic with this one and somehow made both of these elements of the story work for me. I actually really fell in love with the romance and it turned out to be better than I had anticipated. This author does write contemporary romance with a sensual edge, but they are borderline erotic romance.

  Summary

Garrett helped a group of his friends starts a sensual sex club that would work with bringing people together that have unique kinks. Garrett has a voyeurism kink and its a kink that doesn’t go well with any women that he has tried to be with and due to struggling with manic depression, he hasn’t had sexual intercourse for over a decade as he is wanting something more than just a fling, he needs connection. Until he finds out a secret about his step-sister, Mia, who is a sex worker working as a cam girl. The moment he and Mia start interacting online, he goes back home to her. Mia may be Garrett’s step-sister, but he was 21 years old when they first met and their parents got married. Throughout the years they have tangled with each other, and have a frenemies type of relationship but now while spending time with his family, the attraction between Garrett and Mia starts to really grow in ways that neither of them expects. But when life goes back to normal, will Mia and Garrett be able to bridge the forbidden and find their way toward their HEA?

  What I Loved

Eyes On Me is a book that won’t work for everyone unless you can deal with more sensual themes in a romance. We also see how this author tackles some taboo topics. I really felt that she handled this very well. I really liked how the step-sibling relationship was handled. This is a trope that I am SUPER picky about, but I never felt too uncomfortable with this, it helps that they didn’t grow up together at all, so it didn’t have too much of a taboo feeling to it. And their feelings for each other develop when they are both adults and I really liked that about this story. It was quite interesting to see their dynamic grow from enemies to friends in a slow and sassy manner. I was so intrigued to see how the conflict between them would end up being resolved. I also was fascinated with seeing more moments with the sex club. I really loved it in the first book, and in this one, the second half of the story is featured around the club which I really liked. I also was quite fascinated with the Voyeurism aspect and saw the way it was developed throughout the story. There is a level of emotion that is built throughout the sexual encounters. We get plenty of fun times with the side players and I am intrigued to see what will be brought to us with book three!! (I am already seeing raving reviews so I am stoked)


  
    When I’m with Mia, I don’t feel alone or like I’m battling the heavy winds of my own emotions. I’m so focused on her, and even when we were fighting or teasing each other, with one look, she kept me tethered. It hits me that the girl I never thought I could be with might have been made for me all along.
  



  What I Struggled With

I think I would add in more emotional elements into the story, there could have been more build-up where this is concerned and more focus on the manic depression that the hero suffers with, it was barely mentioned and I felt like there could have been a bit more focus on it to build character development.


  Overall View

Eyes On Me is a sensational addition to a fire-packed series that will set your soul on fire! It broadens the horizons, pushes the limits, and extends expectations in a brilliant way!

Well... even though I did a 3 star rating but that is mainly because of the spice scenes. 
This is my 2nd step siblings book. The first one they were 18 even they became sibling which isn't that weird. But this story it did make me slightly uncomfortable a few places. Like when they became step siblings she was 8 and he was 21. A majority of their family relationship was her as a super minor. He wasn't attracted to her then, it was in their adulthood that he became attracted to her. 
Storyline was a little spotty but overall super sexy and I LOVE the characters Mia and Garret. They're personal backstories are cute and relatable. But the story was just odd. Praise had me working new things into the bedroom and this just had me cringing. If you're reading the series read it, if not don't. Is that weird to say???

this is what i get for never reading the synopsis before starting a book
the only reason it’s getting a 2 is because some parts were good (like 15%) but the rest of the book was so bad. i felt dirty reading this (not in a good way) like it made me uncomfortable anyways i didnt dnf though im a soldier

This was a “I can’t put this down till I finish it” kind of book. I didn’t think we could get a more passionate story than Emerson and Charlie. But I was proven wrong. Garrett and Mia were hot and that right amount of angst and edgy that kept you turning the page one right after another. I did feel some parts were glossed over to get to the ending. But that’s a personal thing, and it was still super good story and I can’t wait for the third!

Writing: As usual Sara did an amazing job. The book contains mental health and the way Sara wrote the struggle was just heart wrenching and amazing.

Storyline: The story is about Garett 36, and Mia 23. They are step siblings, their parents married when Garret was 21. But the fact that they are step siblings isn’t the big issue in the story but was a part of the story in a imperceptible way. 

The way Garett stumbles upon the information what Mia is a cam girl is just too funny. Why this book only a got 4,5 stars and not 5 is because I personally don’t super love the trope fake online identity. 

I have to say that book 1 is still my favorite book (of all the books I read this year) but I couldn’t put this book down so that’s a good review from me and I highly recommend this book

Ok. Garrett has my heart. This book. This book was everything. 

After a full week of not reading a book (this is so rare for me aka never happens) to focus on healing, I finally read EYES ON ME and, oh my gosh, this was hot. The age gap and the forbidden romance (step-siblings) was 🤌🏽🤌🏽. The sexual tension between them is explosive.

What broke my heart was Garrett and his fight with depression. I loved how the author accurately conveyed how it is to function while having depression, along with depressive episodes, to the point where you lose interest in the most basic things. I'm glad he had friends and Mia to help him and support him.
