Siamo (finalmente) giunti al finale della saga dei quattro cavalieri dell’apocalisse. Dico finalmente perché QUATTRO libri per questa serie sono assolutamente inutili, ma andiamo con ordine. Questo è un libro ad alto contenuto di spicy, come i precedenti, quindi LEGGETE ATTENTAMENTE I TW, sono chiari, espliciti e soprattutto sono ad inizio libro, quindi salvaguardate la vostra integrità morale e valutate se sia il caso di avventurarsi nella lettura di queste scene di sesso decisamente esplicite e pesanti. Partivo con zero aspettative, calcolando che il secondo libro mi ha quasi mandata in blocco ed il terzo mi ci ha mandata direttamente senza passare dal via, quindi direi che è stato facile per la Bailey non farmi odiare completamente questo libro: le è bastato infilare un po’ di azione, complotti, SPIEGAZIONI e pestaggi tra un’orgia e l’altra. La presenza di sesso è sempre e comunque troppa in questi libro, troppa e troppo esagerata, poco credibile. Sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dallo sviluppo del personaggio di Drake (Morte), la dolcezza, il riguardo, l’amore e la devozione che prova per Scarlett sono qualcosa di indescrivibile. Per il resto ho trovato la narrazione molto ridondante, al punto da rendere nauseante la frase “i miei uomini”... Amo ti prego basta, l’abbiamo capito che li ami tutti e quattro, non c’è bisogno di insistere! Poi vogliamo parlare del matrimonio e dell’annuncio della relazione ai vari genitori??? Ma non potevamo proprio risparmiarcela quest’ultima? Poco credibile, molto forzato… La scena della vasca??? VI PREGO. Io non so quante risate mi sono fatta mentre mi immaginavo la Bailey che si inventava quelle posizioni degne di Linda Blair ne L’esorcista (perché nessun essere umano potrebbe replicare senza rompersi un osso) aggiungendo un pizzico di Quentin Tarantino con quella vasca piena di sangue dei nemici…. We read and we don’t judge (sì sto giudicando, di brutto e pure male) So che sembra un semplice elenco dei difetti del libro, ma tenete conto che questo volume NON È il peggiore della saga…. IL CHE È TUTTO DIRE. Beh che dire… Meno male che è finita e, memo per Mely: d’ora in avanti i Dark Romance SOLO standalone. ⭐⭐.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Loved this series. Sad that it's over. Check trigger warnings.

loved the FMC and seeing her grow through the course of the 4 books, the way she had a backbone and stood up for herself without it coming off as bitchy or stupid. the way she held the boys accountable at times without being over dramatic and being mature asf.

also all of the men, i’ve grown to love all of them esp after seeing them all come to terms with their feelings for her made me so <333 

the smut was great but also felt like a bit too much at times, like i couldn’t go a chapter without them fucking but it deffo makes sense when you remember that the FMC uses sex as both a coping mechanism and to avoid her problems 

i also love how the guys didn’t just ‘cure’ her trauma and all the abuse she went through like in other books but she actually deals with it and we see her grow stronger from it. we see her grief and her pain and instead of it being brushed off, the guys push her to deal with it.

I have my thoughts on the ending of this series…

It was kind of anticlimactic cause it all happened so fast. I couldn’t process it clearly because I feel like it was more smut than plot this one. It’s supposed to be this big and important finish with some closure and… it just didn’t hit that mark.

Butttt the good side is, the smut is good. I mean you can’t fight it really. That with Prescott and Francis is the only reason I’m giving this book 3⭐️ stars.

If you would have told me I would read a series in three days, I would have told you you're kidding. But that was the case with this one! 

Book 4 does a great job and answering any unanswered questions I had from books 1-3. I was reserving judgement and my reviews on all of the books until I finished the series, but I have to say I REALLY liked it! 

Cataclysm picks up right where the previous book left off and it hits the ground running. What's great about this book is that there is a lot of stuff happening, which made me excited to read through it all. While there is a lot going on, parts did seem to drag out a bit in this boo. I'm not saying I hated it, I'm not saying I loved it, but it just is - if that makes any sense at all. 

I think kinks/taboos is done really well in this book, and overall entire series minus a couple of scenes from earlier books. And there is a plethora of spice so if that's your thing, you won't be disappointed. 

Book 4 was a nice little bow on the entire series - so you can expect there to be some predictable moments.

Beautiful Ending to a Great Love Story

While this book was not as well-written as the others, I couldn't help but enjoy it. The Four Horsemen and their Nyx were absolutely amazing in this book. I loved how the story ended and how they acknowledged all the pain that they had endured.


Not to mention how freaking HOT this book is. My favourite combo, West and Prescott, got some much needed airtime in this book and I'm very happy that Bailey did not skimp out on the spice.


As always, I recommend this book (as I do the whole series). I hope Bailey writes an extended epilogue of some sort in the future!
