Sarah J. Maas

"Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from stories, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin, a High Lord of the faeries. As her feelings toward him transform from hostility to a fiery passion, the threats against the faerie lands grow. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose Tamlin forever"--

A Court of Thorns and Roses

This book is an incredible read and I would recommend it to anyone trying to get back into reading or fantasy.

Feyre is a very believable protagonist and the world building of Feyre's home and family that we receive is so realistic and detailed beautifully. I'll be honest, you won't like Nesta at first, she'll be too harsh and full of herself for you to stand. Feyre may exhaust you sometimes emotionally, but you can really relate to her when you think of her as just a young girl yearning for a sense of belonging in a world that constantly throws the weight of itself into her.

You will love Tamlin and Lucien almost immediately and care about their development and back stories more than you will care for Feyre's narration at times, SAVOR THAT! Don't listen to anyone's opinions (even mine) on any of the characters, build your own opinion of them as you read through the series.

The world building in this series is incredible and so fun to get lost in. If you are reading the book digitally or listening to the book, I would recommend that you print out or have a reference picture aside of the Prythian map so that you can follow along when Feyre travels or when she describes one of the regions or their Courts.

Lots of interesting creatures are in this book and Maas makes them very fleshed out and realistic.

I don't wanna spoil anything else, read the hell out of this book it is SOOOOOOOO good!!!
