the first book i did prefer, but it was still amazingggg! i just felt like sometime they were on a wild goose chase and i was waiting for more to happen at parts

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first one, it felt slower.

My fave part was the relationships between everyone and the group growing with some unexpected people🤭

The last line of the last chapter!!!! Can’t wait to read the next one to see where this is all going to go

I must admit I am still finding it slower paced than her other series and at times slightly predictable. I love how they’ve all bonded but it did feel almost too simplistic at times??? Idk how to explain. But omg that ending I cannot wait to read number 3, I feel like it’s a well kept secret and I’m part of a secret club

I want to say I enjoyed this one as much as the first one but I wouldn’t be telling the truth. The first one was interesting from the first page to the last page. But this one had so much, for the lack of a better word, filler for me. This book is what I was expecting the first book to be like. Slow until the last 100 pages. And I wish the end of the book would make me want to pick up book three immediately but since I already had it spoiled for me I just wasn’t as excited as most people would be. So I think I’ll take a break to be in a better head space before starting the third book.

Second of all, Ruhn and Day!!! i’ve never been so invested in a secondary relationship like i am with theirs…i was literally kicking my feet in the air and giggling every time they spoke to each other 🤯

and lastly, that entire plot blew my mind. like i’m genuinely speechless. one minute i was scratching my head like “huh? what is happening in this book right now?” but wow…it really did come together in the end.

I just don’t love urban fantasy. My least favorite series of hers by a mile. I do love the complexity and the shifting perspectives, I love the variety of species and characters. And obviously the crossover is so fun. But I hate the submarines and the guns and the pictures on a cellphone. Not for me

This was an amazing book! I loved all the different pov’s as it helped me get invested in all the characters and also kept my excitement high. When things would go slow with one character there was something exciting in another one. So I really liked that. Also I liked how it all connected somehow as we saw with the wolf Ithan found that is after all a Fendyr. Some of my favorite parts where the ones with Night and Day I think it was really interesting how they met and how they both were hidden under fire or stars and darkness. I had a suspicion that Day was the Hind and I liked that it was indeed her. How everyone saw her as a monster even Ruhn but in reality no one really knew her story so I’m excited to hear it. Also I liked how she was so sassy and saying she was not gonna help him yet in the end she did find him and help him. A thing that really broke my heart was that they put on the halo on Hunt it really made me so sad. The last thing I liked was the end. I loved how Bryce end up in Rhysand’s world and she even thought he’s Ruhn. I mean Ruhn could be his son in my head that how I imagine him. While I read it I swear I had butterflies in my stomach it was really amazing. I’m really looking forward to seeing what will go on! Totally recommend the series!

I spent a lot of this book wondering where this meandering plot was taking me. It was an enjoyable ride… and I loved the character development. The last 150 pages were WILD. HUGE PAYOFF. That last chapter? Mindboggling. Had to knock off .5 a star because of the meandering for 80% of the book… but wow. Cannot wait to see where we go from here…

           When you haven’t read the other SJM books so the ending isn’t as gasp worthy and you just smile and nod to everyone else. But, I liked the vibes! And I am happy for everyone else getting to freak out. The ending did hurt my heart, especially with Hunt. 

Plus more river otters are necessary going forward - that’s all I got.

Perfect amount of spice, perfect amount of action and so damn happy we see Rhysand back 😫😫 loved this one

it took me getting to about 60% of the book to become fully re-immersed into the story and the world. but once it picked up the pace it was just plot twist after plot twist and holy shit the ending?!?!! and Ruhn!!

as for like 80% of the book, (so before they get to the asteri stuff) it was extremely BORING… really boring as in i had to force myself to finish and i was just skimming through the pages of hunt and bryce doing well… whatever it is they do.
