Für eine Schullektüre ist es ganz in Ordnung, aber es ist wirklich überhaupt nichts passiert im Verlauf des Buches. Sarfraz redet immer nur von den gleichen drei Themen: sein Vater, seine Identität als Pakistani in England und Bruce Springsteen. Das, was am Ende daraus geworden ist, hätte man auch in 100 Seiten schreiben können - es hätte keinen Unterschied gemacht.

Nicht freiwillig gelesen, aber meiner Meinung nach ein ganz interessantes Buch. 

Sehr unstrukturiert mit super vielen Zeitsprüngen, auch die Authentizität der Konversationen ist wahrscheinlich eher so lala, glaube nicht, dass er sich wirklich an alles so gut erinnert. Sympathisch fand ich aber den Epilog bzw. seinen Beitrag aus 2018, welcher nach dem Ende hinzugefügt wurde. Wertet das Buch meiner Meinung nach auf! 

Habe noch nie ein Buch aus der Perspektive eines muslimischen Pakistani der in England lebt, aber nach Amerika will, gelesen. Wie gesagt: Interessant.
