Erik An Arizona Vengeance Novel
Reviews

This is a feel-good, low-angst story with a HEA. A perfect read for when you're in the mood for something simple, sweet, yet gratifying at the same time. It's also part of a series, and although it can be read as a standalone, I suggest that you read the series in the order of its publication because each book in the series has the breadcrumbs that would lay the foundations of the succeeding stories in the series. So, if you want to appreciate the story as a whole and all the characters in it, read Bishop first before this one.

4.5 stars Erik is the first book I have read by this author and I'm not sorry that I gave this author a try! Sport romances, especially the ones involving hockey, have become a favorite of mine. From the start it's clear that Erik has never been serious about relationships. "Puckbunnies" as they're called have frequently visited his bed. Except for some reason, running in to Blue has gotting him thinking about things he never thought he would. He's a devoted player and the team is like family to him. Blue is a flight attendant who has had some fun, but has decided relationships or hookups aren't something she has time for. Her brother, who has special needs, needs to be the number one priority in her life. She has some regrets and doesn't think she's very deserving of an man's attention. I loved the flirting and teasing in this book. It's clear from the start that Erik and Blue have a connection. Only they did five years ago as well, what went wrong? Blue puts up a fight which ends in certain body parts being waxed, haha. Let's just say there is never a dull moment in this book! Even though there is an instant connection between Erik and Blue, I loved that there is a build up to them being together (even if this happens pretty fast). You wouldn't tell that Erik is a player with how he treats her. All the things he does for her and her brother are really heartwarming. I had a smile on my face for quite a bit of this book and he's made his way on my bookboyfriend list. Not only do we get romance, but also a glimpse into the hockey world. I love that the other players are included in this book. I didn't read Bishop before reading Erik and it didn't bother me. It only made me want to pick up his book even more. I think Sawyer Bennett will become another auto-read author. I love the writing style, humor, romance and just the warm feelings her story brings!
