Again, loved it. I love Rushe as a character, he has stayed true to himself throughout the series, despite having fallen in love. Plot wise, as with book 2, I did lose my way in the middle a bit, with the suspense aspects, and wished I had had a quick re read of book 1 maybe, since it has been a few months since I read it. But it all tied up neatly in the end. Flick was annoying me a touch at the beginning - I just felt like shouting at her "let the poor bloke do his job, he knows what he is doing, stop interfering" but by the end, I realised, Rushe is his job, it is his life, and to be involved with Rushe, you need to be involved in his "job". The action was fast paced and had me guessing, and doubting the outcome time and time again. But, Flick and Rushe, they are meant to be, and truly accept each other for who they are with no recriminations. A lot of loose ends are tied up here, people we have come to know and like getting the end to their story, and people we hate or who deserve it getting what they deserve. I know this is the end of the series for Rush and Flick, but I do hope the author does the odd little update here and there on Rushe and Flick.
