Reviews

Guts by Raina Telgemeier is the third in the Smile graphic novel memoir series. In Quebecois, the title is Courage and that's an important insight for the themes of the book. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2019/comm...

A deeply personal story. Hope it gives comfort and normalcy to other people going through the same issues

I first read Smile by Raina Telgemeier when I was about 12 in 7th grade. Though it’s been over a decade since then, I was excited to see that she’d written another book! Guts is really cute, and really relatable to the issues of dealing with fear of vomiting and IBS. I honestly wish that this book had come out when I was younger, because I think it would have helped me a lot. No matter how old I am I’ll always read more of Raina Telgemeier’s graphic novels.

Excellent graphic memoir! Talks about emotional health in a compassionate, kid-friendly, and relatable way.
