Unsong is an extremely witty, funny and engaging book in my opinion. The content of the Torah, Bible, Talmud and several other texts is made SO interesting with the narrative arc and all the puns. I absolutely love all the computer science references, makes the book hit much closer to home for me. Scott Alexander has done some superb world building, and it is a wonderful, funny and engrossing take on what could pragmatically happen in the world if we knew for certain that God is real.

I usually don't mind puns but

Will probably bump it up when it goes through a copy-edit.

It actually manages to show the incandescent beauty of strict consequentialism. Which is an important thing to show! But the action scenes and the padding will probably stop you from seeing it.
