I was initially draw in by the premise. I thought this would be a good, old fashioned phycological thriller / mystery. Who are these kids? Why do they wake up in coffins? Where are the adults? Good stuff!

But the twist felt contrived, like the author couldn't figure out an actual explanation so he came up with this... weird sci fi angle. It came from left field, and I was disappointed. The end felt rushed. By the time Em has the main confrontation, it's:  little kids released, battle in the garden, find the shuttle  , and boom, end of book.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. At the author's request, there will be no spoilers in my review. I wanted to read this book because it was described as "for fans of Hunger Games and Divergent." I loved those series, so I thought I would give this a try. I was very disappointed. This book lacked the action, and I did not bond with any of these characters at all. I was over halfway through the book and they still hadn't done anything exciting. I couldn't get this book over with fast enough. It bored me.
