Good, but not great. Entertaining, but predictable and cliche ridden. Vulgar and crass, in a somewhat amateurish way. Some characters made leaps of logic or understanding of which they shouldn't have been capable. Again, it was entertaining, and I did generally enjoy it, but I don't feel compelled to pick up the next book in the series.

I can see where this would have been a cool idea, but this book didn't age well. I like the alien/parasite aspect but the characters and writing was so bad, I just couldn't get past it. This was definitely written by a man as crass and crude as a lot of Perry's thoughts and actions were. There is fat phobia which I did not appreciate and just the unnecessary of all the "penis" talk. A lot of the gore was present for no reason and the characters were flat and non dynamic. 

I also do not recommend the audiobook. Just general narration was fine, but the author struggled with voice acting.
