The Order of Time and Odin's Door

Anastasia and Edward Upston are summoned with Dr. Alfred Gregorian to the Order's London headquarters. Dr. G must face charges for breaking Order rules for allowing the twins to time travel to ancient Egypt using the Order's Refractium Crystal. The twins trump Order politics when Dr. G is cleared of all charges and they are unexpectedly presented with an opportunity to become students at the Order's exclusive Academy for time guardians in training. Classes such as Management of Mythical Beasts and Preservation of Powerful Artefacts steel the twins determination to pass the Order's entrance exam. When the exam goes spectacularly wrong Anastasia and Edward find themselves trapped one thousand years in the past during the Viking Age. The twins find allies in Soren Magnusson, the teenage Jarl of the Iron Blades, and his cousin Erik the Red. They are soon caught in the midst of a struggle between Odin and Loki that could instigate the end of the nine realms. To have any chance of surviving the twins must help Soren and Erik on their quest to reforge the magical sword given to the Iron Blades by Odin. Norse myths spring to life as the twins come face-to-face with berserkers, dwarves, zombies, frost giants, the Kraken, and a seriously evil dragon on their journey. Getting home alive may be the hardest thing they ever have to do.
