The book 'Scumble' by Ingrid Law is a lighthearted and fun way to continue the Savvy story by sharing the tale of Ledger Kale, a cousin of the original Beaumont Family. With Ledger turning 13 just as a family wedding is scheduled, the Kale family decides to take a small road trip to their Uncle Autry's Bug conservatory for the gathering. Little do they know that Ledger's savvy may just destroy every machine in the little town of Sundance, from an expensive motorcycle to his uncle's watch. When a curious girl trying to publish her newspaper tries to befriend Ledger and his strange family, will Ledger be able to scumble his savvy before she - And the entire town of Sundance - find out?
This story is a facinating look into another savvy family's tale, and brings a new plot line into the picture while still keeping known and loved characters close. The suspense, drama, and heartwarming tale is a perfect story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, expesially near the last pages. The mysteries and secrets may have been a tad confusing, but the ending was just perfect.

Really enjoyed Savvy, but couldn't quite get into this in the same way until past 1/2 way through. Ended well. Age 10-12+
