uhm- what the fuck? the plot twist was unpredictable, yes, but not mindblowing and satisfying and all. it somehow doesn't make sense. underwhelmed? yes

first of all, the girls in this goddamned book are way too 'stereotipical' smh. the mc was even depicted as 'calculating' yet lost her cool multiple times. anddddd how tf is a teenage bitch able to overpower mid 30s or somesort kinda men? not to mention, killers? criminals? even if u throw some shit like taekwondo or whatever she practiced, it's practically unrealistic😭😭 how tf is someone who is supposed to be calculating, doesn't know who to rule out as suspect and shit nd just go for a shortcut which is asking her hacker friend😭😭😭 plus who tf searches for a killer on google? consecutively i add🤨🤨🤨

pluuuuuss the kiss of a 15 yr old cold emo and a 27 yr old man. not to mention, didn't she also got connections to go and get a free visit at a court at the first bit? wasn't that a random mix at this point??🥹 and her job at the vet?🥹 wtf is she doing at the vet rather than petting a dog? anddd reggie, their friendship was soooo bland jusq. 

don't get me started with all those thrown deets that were suspicious. dr issa was super sus at the time that got me thinking he might be an apprentice or at least knew the killer's identity. anddd the time when daisy was supposedly gone at the time of a funeral, made me think its gonna get messy nd stuff but no:> the author's method of putting the reader off is annoying and so random. i thought those deets will be important later but turns out, no😒

Arghhhh I honestly don't know too well how I would rate this book. Its not the best book ever and I did have some problems with it. First off, I've only seen the first 4 episodes of Dexter (which I didn't really like btw) and it was so similar to it. Second of all, sometimes Lane's thoughts got on my nerves. I kind of found her annoying. And as much as I hated certain parts of this book, it was still entertaining enough for me to keep reading it. I wanted to know who the Decapitator was. I thought I knew who it was, then I was like WHAAAT!!??!? So towards the end the book got really good, I just wish it had been a better written story since the beginning. Quick read though.
